“The server I had was not the best, I mean she was in training but still you could definitely tell she was in training. But karma was the greatest I can't wait to go back just for her. She was so friendly and very entertaining. Karma is what saved the whole experience and visit to this location.“
“First of all why this place is not packed I don't know. There's a place next door that has a parking lot full and here's this wonderful place sitting quietly. Now that said, I hope I don't shoot myself in the foot and end up on a waiting list lol. Our waitress I think her name was Allison. She's also a student we found out in the conversations we had, super nice very friendly and we never went without anything. Even the manager or the chef, not sure, came up from the back to make sure everything was good. And it was! This friend and I decided this was going to be on our radar for sure. Can be a little challenging to get onto the property, but make the attempt. I had the Serrano omelette, had a nice little kick to it. Pancakes were delish. Hash browns were great. My friend had a traditional Breakfast plate. And they were very happy with their selection, and so was I because they couldn't eat it all and I got a couple of bites LOL. Let me talk about the biscuits and gravy. In the picture you see that mountain of gravy there is a delicious biscuit under there. I almost got biscuits to go because they were that good. My friend got a piece of chocolate cake for the road that looked really great. We will be back! This place was so clean, and so comfortable. Thanks for a great afternoon!“
“I come here every Monday with the kids after school to get dinner before soccer practice. The servers are always nice and always put us away from everyone else so my kids can do their homework with little distraction. “Excellent service!!! We went by today on Easter Sunday so you already know it was busy. But the service was excellent. Our waiter let us know that as soon he was done with a big table he would come to us. He took our order right after and took us our coffee. Food came out fast and he checked in on us and made sure we were taken care of. Happy environment and you could tell by the service the servers give. Definitely my to go Ihop from now on.“
“I was craving pancakes and since not being from San Antonio I had google mapped IHOP. My phone somehow was not reading the directions correctly and we ended up at this IHOP 30 minutes later. I'm glad we did! The service and food was great. It was very clean for it being a busy Saturday and the service was quick. I really liked this IHOP and would recommend it.“
“My wife and I were out late and hadn’t eaten much all day and at 9:30 at night there aren’t many quality options so iHOP was close and insight. I’ll be honest my last few iHop experiences at various locations haven’t been stellar so I didn’t walk in with very high expectations. I was gonna consider it a win just to get served something halfway edible. We walked in, were immediately seated and within moments greeted by our server who instantly set expectations that they were short staffed and food cook times would be long, however if we were willing to wait she assured quality service. MANN did Alejandra deliver!! She was SUPER attentive, not to mention well mannered and polite. Especially since she seemed young. Superb table side service. At this point even if the food came out burnt I would have been happy. The food came out and I’m telling you the cook Camillo put his foot in it!!! I got the sampler and I can honestly say I’ve never left and ihop with a empty plate of hashbrowns and if you saw my plate it could have easily been confused with one fresh out the dishwasher cuz I damn near licked it clean! But that wasn’t even the best part… I had THE BEST classic French toast I have had from anywhere in probably 5 years or more! Perfectly battered and griddled smothered with warm butter and oozing warm syrup. I was in heaven. My gut was already busting at the seams but I refused to leave one morsel on the plate out of sheer respect for the cook! We got to hear a bit of the kitchen chatter where we sat and were thoroughly entertained! Who would have expected dinner and a show!! For these guys to have been up against the odds of short staff and I’m sure impatient dinners and whatever other obstacles they came out like champions! I’ll be hard pressed to eat at another iHOP. This is my new and only go to!! Especially if Alejandra and Camillo are in the building!! We’re gonna be back for sure!“

“I had THE BEST service from a server named Jeremy at the SE Military location. This young man was LITERALLY perfection. From the time he touched our table, to the moment we drove out of our parking space, I was simply amazed at the level of service I was receiving! It seriously warrants going to this location to request him as a server, JUST to experience what I am talking about- He was concerned about our level of comfort, my drinks were NEVER empty, he was fast as lightning, was EXTREMELY polite, took care of EVERYTHING for us, and even brought our left overs to the car when we forgot them on the table!I will be returning to this location, and honestly, I wish he worked at every restaurant I go to….“
“I came there on March 21 because of the gluten free friendly pancakes. Only to be told there was no batter. If you are going to advertise that you have a product especially diet restrictive food I would think you need to make sure you always have it on hand. It's the 2nd IHop I have visited and was told there was no batter. Just saying when food is restrictive in your diet and place serves something you enjoy its very disappointing to want to keep going there“
“We meet up with a friend he asked for a table they gave us a booth they said no tables were available alot were empty, he is a disabled Veteran with a prosthetic leg it was hard for him to get out from the table. The young lady was kind. We as Americans need to look out for our veterans.“
“So coming from the restaurant industry initially as an in-house and trainer but then also became a corporate trainer with a large Tex-Mex chain and its affiliates and subsidiaries they're in that used to be Texas based only now worldwide not darden restaurant. So used to be the director of quality assurance and training and compliance for major Telecom call center back in the day years ago actually but I learned a great deal of many things and our clients was the next Sprint and they did not play around they were to the letter on point with all TCP and FCC rules they're in and so I don't have a great deal from my trainer and are in the client the quality assurance. So that being said I look at all interaction on a b2c level and expect great cust service. This i recvs here greeted appropriately by server/host food prepared lightening fast and mgr showed on the floor bringing my order to go and excellent display of applied training models like precision clockwork. Food well meh mediocre did not have any moxy just bland and flat thank goodness for the real butter gave contrast flavor.“
“Everything in this place is very good....unfortunately for me the Price/Quality factor although it is not decisive....it is very important.....and at this point.....they are not competitive! “Ms Shirley made sure my meal was made the way I asked for it. It was the best Spicy Poblano omelet I've had (of many at IHOPs between South San Antonio and Austin). Not the spiciest, but the best tasting.My family can be picky, demanding, and frustrating. I commend Ms Shirley for her patience with us and working with our individual dietary needs.Dietary restrictions: I cannot have their pancake batter omelets. So I have to have the shelled eggs. Ms Shirley said she would make sure that the omelet would not have the batter. She did what she said. This was the first time I could tell that I got eggs instead of their batter omelets. Like I said, I get this dish alot.“
“I hadn’t been to IHOP in years so I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The staff were friendly and pleasant as well as helpful in decision making. I had lovely pillowy pancakes, eggs and bacon. A satisfying breakfast on a chili morning. The previous IHop I went to a few years ago definitely needed an update and still does.“
“Went here 12/30/2023 1:15 am. Felt bad for the girl cook. She sat tables, cooked our meal ( best I ever had) and did everything while the young boy coworker was asleep in the booth. “After reading a couple of the horrible reviews I feel I definitely have to write about our experience here: We'd been in San Antonio for a whole week for a conference, so we had quite a few meals in the city, and this was by far our best experience. Unfortunately I can't recall our server's name, but he was fantastic! Very attentive without being annoying, friendly, knowledgeable, he even gave us the option to pay separately which I have never had happen in the US before (we're from Germany). Five star service which we didn't get in all of the high-class restaurants around the convention center. The food was all fantastic (and we had five different things since there were five of us there), no complaints at all.I can only recommend this place highly - I will definitely be back if I'm in San Antonio again!Dietary restrictions: We had a vegetarian and a lactose-intolerant person with us and both were very happy with the selection and quality of the food.“

“Went for my son’s birthday they let us bring a cake! The wait time was long because they had a couple servers call out from work. We ordered a full stack of pancakes and the kids jr cupcake pancake, the jr cupcake pancake had purple melted frosting on it, it didn’t taste so good, but the eggs and bacon were cooked great! Only the top pancake from the full stack of pancakes was a good fluffy one the rest were flat, but our server was really nice, the hostess was nice too!“
“I usually stop at restaurants that serve TexMex breakfasts, especially when traveling. We decided to try this restaurant as it was on our way to church on Sunday morning. It was a bit unusual when pulling into parking lot as it was more of a strip mall rather than a free standing building. There was plenty of parking. When we walked in the door, we were greeted by smiling faces, seated, and received great service. Food was good. The atmosphere was a bit different than what I expected, as it felt as though it was once a bar/grill once but enjoyable. Will eat here again on future trips.“
