Applebee's in San Antonio

“We had not been here in probably 15 years and decided to meet a friend here for Happy Hour during the week. Last time we visited it was not a great experience BUT something has changed for the better. This visit was a GREAT experience. Mainly because Morgan was a super waitress and person. She greeted us as soon as we arrived and seated us immediately. We thought we had to sit in the bar for HH but she told us we could sit anywhere. The place has a nice large bar with seating and other seating in the bar as well. There are two other dining area with booths and tables. The booths looked to have been reupholstered, which they needed years ago. The interior and exterior of the restaurant was clean. The music wasn't extremely loud so we could visit easily. They have a large variety of menu choices and drinks. The HH offers half off of select appetizers and so we ordered the boneless wings (no sauce by request but ranch on the side). They were crispy and a good portion and half off was $6. We wanted queso and chips BUT they were out of queso so we ordered the spinach/artichoke dip and half off was $5.50. It was tasty and warm with a good amount of chips for two people. We also got the Wonton Taco which were four in the order for half off at $5.50 and they were very tasty and not spicy hot. They have beer and wine specials with a glass of house wine $5 for a nice pour. Then two specialty margarita type drinks at $6. One got the Tipsy Zombie and it was very refreshing. We liked the great pricing for the food and portions as well as the drink specials. We would return here and hope Morgan is there to wait on us as she was super friendly and attentive.“

“I frequently eat at Applebees and IHOP.
I love their food. I especially live the pretzels with beercheese. I recently got the chicken parmesan it was so good and hot. They actually made a mistake, giving me a incorrect meal. They apologized and quickly gave me the correct meal. They also didnt charge me for the meal. I really hate getting a complementary meal.
Anyway service was fantastic. Our waiter kept our drinks full and ensured everything was ok. We promptly got our check.“

She was friendly, attentive, and made sure our entire family was taken care of throughout our meal. She was very welcoming and made the experience even more enjoyable. We really appreciated her fast service and positive attitude. Will definitely be back.“

“I Love going to good restaurants when there's not a lot of people had the best steak today. The Cajun steak with the grilled onions and mushrooms, mashed potatoes were on point. Green beans were crispy and yummy truly enjoyed my experience today. My server was great polite and attentive.“
