“It has a great atmosphere. You can’t tell from the outside but love the vibe. Seems pretty clean in there . The food is really good with a capital G . The ghee with goat and garlic naan is so good you’d slap your mamma. The lamb chops were good the bone. I may of ate some of the bone. Butter chicken my bro had . He said it was very good. I’ve not had some more of the menu. It was all good I’d give them a 8 1/2 . If you knew me , that a great rating from me. I have a line of people that will tell you how picky I am. I told the gentleman I said you’re gonna get a good tip because it was so good. The server said he’d rather have us just give the restaurant a rating. “How did I end up here? Luck of the draw. I'm in town for work and it was a 5 min walk from the Holliday Inn hotel I'm staying at.

Very inconspicuous little place but that doesn't stop it from being found. Not much in the way of dining in but people still were enjoying the food in their cars. Pick up drivers were picking up orders. It was busy so it looks promising.

I got the masala dosa and vegetable garelu and it was about $20.

It was all very good! Flavor explosion!

Dosa was crispy, chewy, and slightly sour. The masala was so flavorful with a touch of spice. The tomato chutney is the flavor bomb. Altogether it a flavor roller coaster. Sweet, spicy, savory ... so good. And it was massive.

Garelu were good too. Lots of vegetable flavor and great for dipping in the soup.

Overall it was a great snack for dinner and I'm glad I stopped by.“

“What do I recommend about Tarka??? Literally everything! It’s fast, delicious and they make ordering online and pickup a breeze. My only complaint? They’re not in North TX so I have to drive down to Austin or Houston for it. Have I done so? Yes! Is it worth it? Yes! But I would eat Tarka more often it there was one up here.“

“I’ve been to Indian Street Flavors in San Antonio multiple times now, and honestly, everything here has been really good. It’s not just street food they pretty much have full meals for lunch or dinner, you name it, they have it.

They keep adding new menu items, which is awesome because there’s always something new to try. Whether it’s chaat, sandwiches, rice dishes, or full meals, the food is consistently flavorful and satisfying.

One must-try for sure is the maska bun soft, buttery, and perfect with chai. Easily one of the best items on the menu.

Overall, great food, good portions, and solid consistency. Definitely a 5-star spot and one I’ll keep going back to.“

“My family loves this place. Their goat curry is truly the GOAT. Meat is tender and fall off the bone. They offer fresh naan to the table which the kids love. They have a great selection. I wanted to get a little bit of everything - and I almost did! I love that they have their buffets for dinner too. Not sure if that’s changed for other days of the week, but we were craving Indian buffet on a Sunday night and this was the only known place for dinner buffets. I usually don’t like to go to restaurants twice unless they are a hit, and this one is a hit!“

“Found this place by accident on Thanksgiving night when we were in town and almost everything NOT a terrible overpriced tourist chain was closed. Came back two nights later before leaving town because it was so good. Very tasty standards like saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, chicken kurma, naan, mango lasse, etc. Fast service, great prices, great location right by the Riverwalk and cathedral for tourists and next to the courthouse for anyone with business there. (Also has a kids menu with things like chicken nuggets and fries if your kids are being tired and cranky and hangry and don’t like Indian food.) If you’re in San Antonio, check them out!“

“Visited this place on a Saturday afternoon and found it pleasantly busy, which is always a good sign. Despite the crowd, the service was quick and efficient.

We tried the non-veg thali, veg thali, a combo tiffin, and their railway chai—and everything was exceptional. The thalis are definitely the highlight here. Every single item served was flavorful and truly brought out authentic South Indian tastes. If you’re someone who enjoys a good thali, this place is a must-visit.

The ambience adds to the experience, especially with food served on banana leaves—it felt very traditional and authentic. A special mention to the staff member Bala who took our order—very patient, friendly, and always smiling.
