We also ordered rasmalai, and you'll probably not find better rasmalai in this area. Oh and dis I mention how affordable everything is!“

“Really good Indian food, agree with some that the spice level may be to high for some, but they adjusted that for those in our party who prefer more mild flavors. The service is quick and friendly, potions sizes are generous. This is a really good spot for dinner.“

“They are doing great work and I hope this business gets a lot of love and support. They are specialists of the Kongu Nadu cuisine, which comes from a specific part of the state of Tamil Nadu in South India. I have enjoyed every single dish I've had so far, and will definitely keep going back for more. For reference, I'm NOT from that part of the country, but I appreciate well prepared food across any cuisine.“

“This was our first experience dining in we have always ordered take out. The food was so good and fresh. We ordered dhaba de murg, kadai paneer, tawa roti and moong daal halwa. While each item was tasty the moong daal halwa was definitely the star of the show. Highly recommend if you are in the area. The staffs are also very friendly, atmosphere was pleasant. Parking is free once you scan and put the code(you will get it inside the restaurant).“

“We live in Dripping Springs and used to drive to Round Rock to get our Indian fix because we are a bit picky. We came across the food truck one time and decided to give it a try and HAVENT MADE THE LONG DRIVE SINCE. Id like to think we are regulars, if not once a week then definitely at least three times a month. I recommend to everyone. My 3YO toddler drinks the tikka masala sauce and asks for "the garlic naan" all the time. Big fans!“

“The flavor was rich, comforting, and tasted just like authentic homemade dhaba food from India. The dal was perfectly cooked, beautifully tempered, and full of flavor without being overly heavy. The fresh cilantro, onions, and lemon on the side elevated the dish even more.
It's rare to find a dal that feels this authentic and satisfying. Every bite reminded me of the roadside dhabas back home. If this is the standard of food here, I can't wait to come back and try more dishes.
Highly recommend this place called Grill And Curry. Anyone looking for genuine, delicious Indian food. A hidden gem on Anderson Mill Road!“

“I’ve been here a few times and the food is fresh and tasty. Service is walk-up self-order but there has always been someone nearby if there are any questions. Outside seating is plentiful and nice and the parking lot is huge.
Great for a quick lunch!“

“I got the momos for lunch and they were tasty- would recommend. I also had the samosa chaat and it was fine, I wouldn't come back for that. The seating area is somewhat small and exposed to the parking lot, I didn't enjoy being there, I think the truck could close it off more.“

“We catered food from Chatpatti chat for our kiddo birthday party and the food quality was amazing. Everyone liked the food, they packed it so well that nothing spilled. They were very accommodating for our additional request.“
“We recently visited a food truck offering a variety of street-style favorites, and overall it was a great experience. We tasted the Junglee Paneer Grill Sandwich, Samosa Chaat, Onion Samosa, Rose Falooda, Paneer Tikka Kathi Roll, and Ulta Vada Pav.
The food was flavorful and satisfying, with a nice balance of spices and textures across the menu. Among everything, the Rose Falooda stood out for its refreshing sweetness and rich taste, and the Paneer Tikka Kathi Roll was our absolute favorite for its smoky, well marinated paneer and perfect wrap.
Overall, it’s a solid spot for street food cravings with good variety and taste.“

“I Have been bringing my son here for the lunch buffet on the weekends, and now he just turned 16. The staff know us well, and if something isn’t right , they fix it right away. Example- small kids :I do feel as they need to be at the table instead of being at the buffet wiping their noses or coughing and then grabbing every single spoon on the buffet. This happened and I told the owner and he immediately fixed it! He replaced every spoon and had a guy wiping the entire buffet area. I appreciate the staff and thank the kitchen personell doing a great job and sending out wonderful food!! I do wish the prices weren’t so high though. I was there every weekend when the prices were at $13, now it’s $20 on the weekends. Too high for me. Now I can only go there once in a blue moon. It’s a shame because it’s one of the better Indian restaurants in Austin.“

“Your best stop for Indian food in Austin. From Paneer Tikka Masala to crispy Dosas and Upma, every dish was so well prepared. The owners are so welcoming and friendly and talking to them will immediately lift up your mood. What’s more? They do have no onion-garlic options as well! I must say trip to Austin is incomplete without visiting Indian Konfused Desi and Reddy Dhaba food truck. Highly recommend!“
“I truly appreciate the quality of this hidden gem! It’s so great to have a south asian/desi option in the neighborhood. The quality is fantastic! I’ve tried the chai, aloo paratha & biryani - they were all incredible! I highly recommend it.“

“Such amazing food! High quality and fresh, had the dal and veg steamed momo. Staff was friendly and overall it was a 10:10 experience. If you know what good Nepali food should taste like and that’s what you’re looking for, then this is the place for you. If you’ve never tried Nepali food, it’s similar to Indian but with a more rich and diverse flavor profile. Give this place a shot, you won’t regret it!“

“Food quantity is awesome as compared to other halal restaurants near by. Customer service is on point. Wait time is 5-10 min. Cleanliness is key at this place. Our food came hot and fresh. I tried the Mongolian Beef and also tried some of the Asian items and they were all good. I really hope the quality stays as it was simply delicious. Will come back again for grill items as we saw some other customers order and it looked yum!“

“Absolutely soooo delicious! The masala dosa classic is 10/10- So authentic! But for me the stand out is the Vada Pav. It’s mindblowingly delicious. It is my favourite food in Austin. I would travel here for this. The pav is a soft, little bit sweet bun that cuddles perfectly a spicy and salty vada (potato, chickpea?, patty). The vada is something you’ll keep dreaming about. It has the kind of seasoning that stays with you forever and you’ll compare other foods to for all your life. The minty sour tangy chutneys just elevate the whole thing. Every bite is sooo pleasurable - so memorable- words can’t capture it.“

“This place has been a favorite for several months for my family. We've tried weekend lunch and weekday dinners, consistently good every time. Typically, we have 4-5 people but we've done parties up to 10 without any change in quality or speed of service. Medium spice is hotter than most places, so start there...before going up.“

“This is in an upscale market and genuinely has the best Indian food in the area. We’ve had the samosas several times and they’re the best I’ve had south of Round Rock. It is reasonably priced with generous portions and genuinely tasty without overpowering you with heat. They’re not afraid to use spice unlike some places nearby. Far better than wasting money on sit down restaurants in the area.
Vegetarian options: Bowls with the standard curry dishes, samosas and Indo Chinese“

“Cloud kitchen in Austin Downtown - run by an amazing superwoman!!
I was literally hungry on this Sunday and wasn't in mood to cook. Having said that I was literally craving for food with homely touch. I searched google and found this place has decent ratings. I went and saw their menu and ordered their special lays frankie and chilli chicken frankie. If you haven't tasted, please do taste as it is unique and delicious in taste!! 😍 Then my mind shifted to chaat section and I ordered Panipuri and Vada Pav. I loveeddd their panipuri...especially their jaljeera water! 😍 and Then I ordered one lamb biryani for home. It was mildly spicy and decent one in taste. I am very much eager to taste their other dishes as well. 😍“

“Chatpata Austin is a vibrant Indian fusion food truck located near the University of Texas area, surrounded by a diverse collection of food trucks offering cuisines from around the world. The lively setting, combined with the variety of options available in the area, creates a fun and energetic dining atmosphere.
The menu offers a wide range of choices, from traditional Indian classics and street-style chaats to creative fusion items such as paratha tacos. We tried several items during our visit. The chaats were generously portioned; however, the serving size felt slightly larger than necessary relative to the pricing. A more balanced portion-to-price ratio might enhance the overall value.
The butter chicken was well-prepared and met expectations, offering the familiar flavor and richness typically associated with the dish. The masala tea was enjoyable and well-spiced. The lassi, however, was milder and less sweet than expected, resulting in a simpler yogurt-forward taste.
One of the strongest aspects of Chatpata Austin is the efficiency and cleanliness. The service was quick, the setup appeared well-maintained, and the overall environment felt safe and welcoming.
In summary, Chatpata Austin provides a lively food truck experience with a diverse menu and fast service. While some items may vary in flavor and value, it remains a worthwhile spot to explore, especially for those interested in Indian fusion cuisine.“

“This is a lovely spot with incredible food and very friendly service. The Chai is exceptional on a warm or cold evening. I usually order the tandoori tacos and find the spice level is reasonable. It’s nice to find a laid back dining experience like this, where locals come to relax at the end of the night.
I’ve seen a lot of families dining out here too, just enjoying the fresh air, good food, and lovely atmosphere.
The location is Austin at its finest. During the day, the food truck court hosts coffee and breakfast sandwiches, and at night, incredible Indian food at Samay Chai.
There’s a nearby parking garage at AMILI, and the Ladybird Lake trail is only a few steps away. You can grab dinner and walk the boardwalks towards Congress afterwards.
A must try! 🐯 👍🏻👍🏻“

“The owner/chef is Nepali. The menu is mainly Indian/Chinese with a distinct Nepalese twist. Perfectly seasoned, best cooked basmati rice and perfect textures.
This is a treasure that needs to be supported! Did I mention it’s a food truck next to a has station? It will be my go to option in future.“
“Best Indian Buffet I have tried in the Austin area. Lots of choices. A lot of Veggie options.“
“Tried Desi Tadka for the first time and everything was really good. The chicken tikka masala was rich and flavorful, the saag paneer was creamy and the paneer really soft. The chicken 65 were super tender. Their samosas and rolls were great too. Definitely ordering again!“

“We had party order from Sangam for our event during May 14th weekend for 3 courses (1 Lunch and 2 dinner) for about 100 people. Shiva was working with me and helped with the menu making sure none of the courses repeat any items including papad. He made suggestions based on our preferences and also guided us with the count and other details. Each of the delivery was made promptly at the requested time. The food provided was scrumptious and quantity was more than sufficient. Each of our friends were pleased with the food. Shiva - you are the best to work with and Sangam team , keep up with the amazing food and quality service you all provide. #indianfood #yummytummy #sangamchettinad“
