“My wife and I recently dined at Ultra Kitchen Restaurant and Catering, and we were blown away by the experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were immersed in the true essence of Nigerian opulence. The restaurant was neat and the atmosphere exuded warmth and authenticity. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the food. Every dish was freshly made to order, bursting with authentic Nigerian flavors. As an appetizer, we couldn't resist trying the suya, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were bold and tantalizing, setting the perfect tone for the rest of our meal. I savored the Jollof rice with goat meat (it could have been more tender but absolutely delicious overall) and fried plantains, while my wife indulged in the Egusi with pounded yam. Each bite transported us to the heart of Nigeria. On another occasion, I had the pleasure of trying their goat meat pepper soup, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. It truly felt like a taste of home, comforting and satisfying in every way.But what truly set Ultra Kitchen apart was the hospitality of the owners. They welcomed us like family, ensuring that we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Their warmth and genuine care for their guests made our dining experience truly unforgettable.Overall, Ultra Kitchen Restaurant and Catering exceeded our expectations in every aspect. From the impeccable cleanliness to the authentic flavors, and the welcoming hospitality of the owners, it's clear that they take pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience. We can't wait to return to San Antonio for more of their delicious Nigerian comfort meals. Highly recommended if you’re ever in the area!Kid-friendliness: The staff were incredibly patient and attentive, ensuring our kids felt comfortable throughout the meal. It made for a wonderful family dining experience.“
“Came for an early Friday dinner. It was early, so wasn't crowded at all. Gentleman working the bar was very friendly and hospitable. He did a great job explaining the menu and making some food & drink recommendations. Ordered the Zaza drinks and meat pies while looking over the menu.Everything sounded good, but finally decided on the Jollof Rice and the Efo Riro Soup. Enjoying the Meat Pies made the 10 minutes fly waiting for the main dishes. The Jollof Rice and Efo Rio Soup were both great. The Soup has a nice bit of heat but wasn't overpowering. The Pounded Yam Fufu went great with the soup. Servings were very generous.Bartender came to the table several times to make sure everything was going fine. Good food and service will definitely bring me back again.“
“I was in town for a friend’s BMT Graduation (USAF/Lackland) and stopped by to get some West African flavor. He’s Nigerian and hadn’t had Nigerian cuisine in almost two months. The food was on par with other West African/Nigerian restaurants that we’ve gone to on the East Coast. As usual, you get large servings of great food at an affordable price.“
“What a thoughtful, creative, beautiful and delicious meal! We had 9 courses from their Asia 2.0 theme along with 3 accompanying drinks. Each course’s inspiration, ingredients and preparation were explained as we were carefully served. Being able to see the kitchen and prep lended to a very intimate setting. Definitely a “chef’s table” experience. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
