“This might be the best fried chicken restaurant in all of San Antonio. The chicken is almost crunchy, nearly free of grease, juicy, and tender. It's almost impossible to find a fried chicken restaurant that is anywhere close to this. Pelicana is without a doubt better than bb.q Chicken. They also give you a free salad with a mayonnaise dressing that reminds you of ranch dressing as well. This fried chicken restaurant is about as peak as it could get in San Antonio. Otherwise, you're missing out what fried chicken is supposed to be like. Once you eat here, you'll never go back to your old place for fried chicken ever again, guaranteed.“

“Ordered online for pickup, everything was wrong. Got things I didn’t order and didn’t receive what I ordered. Lady on the phone didn’t help at all and miraculously could not find my correct order. Never coming back. This was my second attempt. First was dine in and took us over an hour to get our beers? How did our food come out before our drinks? Expensive place for overrated chicken. Better off going to the small family businesses around the corner who actually care and not ran by college kids.

“This is our five or six time here. The employees are great at Potranco rd in San Antonio ! We came for dinner and Kristy was awesome. The food is fresh and flavor is consistent. I highly recommend this location and restaurant!! Five stars and give Kristy a raise she’s great! The staff was quick and always smiling!!!!! The parking has shaded areas to the side. “If you’re looking for amazing carne guisada enchiladas, this is the spot. The meat was seasoned just right and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Paired with the rich, flavorful sauce, these enchiladas were unforgettable. Hands down some of the best I’ve had anywhere. I love supporting small businesses so we will definitely be back.“

“I will update the food review after I actually get my food. Ordered online and got a text to come at 2:50. It’s 3PM now…no chicken and the place is empty with loud Kpop crap blaring over the loudspeakers…and 6 employees.

Update: food very good (next visit). Online menu didn’t give option to order rice (but could order rice in store). Otherwise the chicken is authentic and worth the wait.“

“First time eating inside. I went with my grandson, 10 years old. It was a little busy but service was fast.i had the lemonade, which was delicious. Also had the waffle fries and the fried chicken sandwich. My grandson had waffle fries, his favorite fries in town with ice tea and chicken tenders.
We were not disappointed. Will eat inside more often.

“Always on the lookout for good chicken. In a town where there are any number of places that sell tenders, the chicken is average. The sides are one of the few things to set a chain apart and the sides are average. Where Slim's excells is in their desserts. Its not on the top of my list, but I'll definitely come again.“

“My husband and I stepped out for lunch to Pollo Pechugon. He had eaten there a few times and raved about how good everything was. Do yourself a favor and try the delicious rotisserie chicken. It was sooo flavorful and fresh. My plate included quarter chicken, 2 flautas, corn tortillas and I substituted coleslaw for potatoes. I did try a potato and it was very tender and tasty. Customer service was amazing. The gentleman that took our order was very friendly. Everything was great! You won't be disappointed! Looking forward to my next visit!“

“So I'll start off saying I love the food here. Its always flavored great I love to get the build a bowls. Now my negative review and why I dont give 5 stars is they do not regulate having anything available during peak times. Lunch time and dinner everything is out and the grill is full cooking but nothing is ready for 30min to an hour. I would say they need to regulate cooking and having food constantly ready for customer needs. Other than that customer service is great and I will still be a customer just hope feedback helps change some things.“

“As a loyal HEB customer, I specifically shop at Marbach. I am Vegetarian, however I still love eating at Flaming Bird by HEB. Their sides are delicious. I miss their mash potatoes! Bring them back!!

“I've always had a great experience here. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the food is consistently fresh. I really appreciate the great customer service and the effort everyone puts into making each visit enjoyable.

My only two suggestions would be to go a little lighter on the ice in the drinks, since the cups are sometimes filled almost entirely with ice, and to avoid putting too many small potato crumbs at the bottom of the fry container. Other than those minor details, everything is excellent. Keep up the great work!“
