“People said I should go here because their chicken was really good. Of course I was skeptical of the claim "world's best", but I really have to say that this indeed was the best fried Chicken I have ever had. Extremely juicy inside and the crispy breading was just a little bit spicy but perfect for my tastes. I loved it. The place has kind of a diner feel and the price is extremely reasonable for downtown Austin. You have to go there“
“The best chicken and beef, grilled and otherwise. The closest thing to a critique is that I’d love it if they brought back the large steak taco. Excellent service and convenient online order. I’ve also used and recommend their catering service.“
“OMG! It was soo good and fulfilling ! I got the chicken tenders with fried okra with cheesy Mac , and I also had a little the fried onions . It was delicious ! The food was freshly done and warm . I will come back to try the different toppings ! I could not wait to eat it, so I ate one of the the chicken tenders before taking this picture .“
“We ate the classic nugs, they have a delightful sweet Thai sauce and come with a nice dipping sauce. The portion is quite large for the price and they got the order out really quickly. The breading is crispy but not hard. We were very much more than satisfied!“
“Nut allergy friendly! There was no one in front of us and it took us 13 minutes to get our order (notified via text).A food truck located inside of Half Step Cocktails, this stop might be the best value on Rainey. For $18 (after tax and tip) we got the Hot Nugs and Tingly Tots. The tots were just the right amount of numbing spicy and perfectly crispy, and the Hot Nugs were well balanced with spice and sweetness and the two lime wedges were perfect for it. I'd say the nugs could be a little crispier but were overall solid. The portions were enough to be a hefty snack for two people! As with every other stop on Rainey, parking is awful to impossible. We also had a slight miss in service where I got a sandwich instead of nugs at first, but thankfully I was eating near the bar and returned and got the right order.Overall, would totally return if I find myself on Rainey again.“
“The food was amazing and our server was absolutely awesome. Ms. Lajuana was so kind and thoughtful. She truly helped in making our dining experience worth a 5 star review. Our family will be back again. Be blessed and continue to be a blessing! You are appreciated ? ? “
“The truck is completely non descript, but the food coming out of it is anything but. The chicken nuggets are very pleasantly adult nuggets. Incredible flavors, perfectly fried and quality pieces of chicken. It's a delicious meal down to the banana pudding, just as creative and delicious as everything else. A must stop! OMG, I almost forgot about the roti. The sauce is indescribably wonderful!!“
“Delicious, and the spice adds so much flavor to the dish. Have had spicy boys in Austin on rainy and on east 6th, this one is a new location by Sign Bar and it was great! No line either on a Friday evening, so we got our food really quickly. The ambiance was great, sign bar has lots of great amenities by the spicy boys food truck, we truly had a great time playing pool and having a beer! Highly recommend!“
“I tried this place on a whim due to the reviews. I got half a chicken with rice and plantains, and a chicken and a beef empanada. This place has delicious chicken- and great plantains. But everything else was ok. I didn’t care for the empanadas at all, and the cilantro rice was subpar. The sauces were delicious and the service was excellent. The staff got my order wrong but they quickly fixed it which I appreciated. Very very kind and friendly service. I would not return, but it was a nice experience, especially the service!“
“From the generous plump juicy chicken to southern sides, Hattie B's does not disappoint! Among the best ever if not "the" best tenders you can custom order to heat as well as half bird & wings. Very friendly fun staff - from ordering to food arrival. Bright open airy space. Always a positive atmosphere. My new favorite place for hot chicken“
“These are the best wings I've ever had. The fry on all three flavors I tried was perfect and each wing had a generous amount of meat on it! My favorite was the honey garlic wings! I also got sweet potato fries and waffle fries which were so crispy and perfectly seasoned! The tteokbokki was nice and spicy with delicious fish cake in it too! The mala wings weren't as spicy as I wished but the flavor was great! The galbi wings also had a nice smoky flavor to them! I love this place, but be mindful they are a bit pricey!“
“Great straightforward Mexican style charbroiled chicken. If you're from the west coast, think of this as El Pollo Loco leveled up 4X. Great prices. We had whole charcoal chicken with charo beans, Spanish rice and tortillas. The creamy, spicy avocado/tomatillo style salsa is the co-star of the show. So much food. Absolute regular go to.“
“Wow. The tenders were great. I had the spicy tenders with garlic sauce, which came with fries and an additional side. I chose macaroni and cheese as my additional side. With every bite of the tender I asked myself how in the world did they get the tenders so…tender. Amazing. A must try if you haven’t gone.“
“I have been to the Berkman location twice. Yesterday we purchased a family dinner. It was delicious! Included were pastor and asada (you can choose 1 or 2 meats)rice and beans both had good flavor chips were crunchy and perfectly seasoned salsas ( we liked the red but loved the green)LimesLOTS of corn tortillas ( wrapped in sets of 5)Onion- grilled and choppedCilantroIn a huge easy to transport box!Staff was so nice and helpful. Great news one of the nice ladies told me the Pflugerville location will open in two months!I almost forgot- the churros are !Last time I also had barbacoa which was delicious!“
“Located in Valero's "Weird" gas station, pollo has become the go to restaurant for myself and several coworkers. A primarily Spanish speaking workforce, but they do have a could have very pleasant ladies who do speak English, as well as one of the grill cooks. Everyone greets you with a smile. And the food is made to order!! Though it is inside a gas station, there is some dine in seating. Definitely with a visit. The carne asada tacos and the half chicken meal are my recommendations“
“My husband went to the Research location, but it's not up on Google yet. This was my first time trying the food, my husband has been to the location downtown. The chicken is SO GOOD. The fries, oh my God. I can't even. I have never been this excited about french fries. We found a new place for dinner!“
“We went to the Southpark Meadows location on Slaughter Lane, where Pat the manager, was so nice to us. My wife told him we had never been there and he gave us our meal at no cost. I've never been treated so nice in any fast food place and the chicken sandwich was delicious. The fries were different, a kind of cross hatch cut where you actually could taste the potato... It was very good and we will definitely be returning occasionally.“
“This is usually one of the best places to get carne asada in Austin. Very good burritos and carne asada tacos. Their meat doesn't have sinew in it like so many others, so that's why I come here. Their charcoal chicken is also super good and worth trying. They marinate the meats well, and everything is seared hot and fast. You won't find any grey steamed or boiled meat here, it's all genuinely well seared with intense flavour. My only complaint is the consistency of portions. I have found that the sizes of their burritos range wildly, some days it's a good size and others it's shocking how small it is. I've gone a few times where the burrito was smaller than a $1 frozen burrito from a supermarket. Being that the prices are quite high I'd expect greater consistency.“
“Ok, we all know what we're getting when we go to Chick-fil-A. The service is legendary, we get it. I would like to point out what Brennan did during my most recent visit, which I really appreciate. I got a Dr. Pepper and a coke, they look pretty similar, so Brennan pushed down the little buttons on the lid to differentiate which one was which. Honestly I think he just does this, every time. This is the difference between Chick-fil-A and every other fast food. The details, the effort, the care. Sure the food is good, the spicy chicken is just the right amount of spicy, the waffle fries are delicious, the gluten free buns are an option, but they're individually wrapped for celiacs, the list goes on and on. This. This is why you go to Chick-fil-A. I digress... Thank you Brennan, you really made my day with something that is probably just a habit to you now.“
“Got the 5 taco plate for $15. Good portion, not skimpy on anything, and great flavor. They also give a big thing of verde salsa which was very greatly appreciated. The prices do seem a bit high, especially given the area, but it was really good and though it’s a hole in the wall, the inside looked very clean and organized.“
“Food & atmosphere were so great - I love the dog polaroid wall, even before trying the food I could tell right away that this was my kind of establishment.Madi served us and she was AMAZING, she was such a sweet person and made our whole experience so fun. Whoever is in charge over there, make sure to give your girl Madi some praise because that is a 5 Star team member right there.“
