“Yesterday we stopped in to J’s Eatery to enjoy our anniversary dinner date. We arrived at about 7:15 and with that being within an hour of closing we werent really sure how we would be received. To our pleasant surprise we were greeted by a friendly and familiar face, Miss Neka Cleaver was so welcoming. She started chatting with us getting our drinks started and making menu suggestions, shortly into us sitting down both owners came out the kitchen to greet us and weigh in with menu recommendations. Excellent hospitality. We settled on Asian Zing Wings, Orange Pepper Glazed Wings, Fried Catfish & Shrimp, Mac N Cheese, Sweet Potatoes, Greens, and Fried potatoes with onion and cornbread. To drink: Pineapple Lemonade. We Punished that meal, it was so savory, flavor profile was bold, crunchy, creamy, zesty, crispy & simply so delicious, hot and fresh. At some point during our conversation we mentioned it was our anniversary, so they even dimmed the lights and lit a candle for us over our dinner. The conversation was pleasant and valuable the food was hot fresh and delicious, every single item we ordered. It was like we visited them in their home, they treated us so so well. We will be back and hope that many people continue to enjoy this amazing gem of a restaurant here in San Antonio!“

“Customer service and food was very good. I wish i had known they only do full menu on the weekend. Only wings and fries was available. If you can't find it with maps, it's inside of gas station.This is in response to the owner. I did call because google maps doesn't tell you your looking for a food truck. And if the lady that told me that you all were operating at the to go location had told me all you had was wings. I would've chosen a different restaurant.“

“Wow! We had them cater and serve my Aunt's birthday party. The food was delicious and the service was great. They were very professional, and personable. Chef Dom accommodated us to make sure we had a great experience. We were able to enjoy the party instead of worrying about prepping and serving food for a change. All of our family agreed we will have them cater all of our parties.“

“Hello, this post has been a long time coming and I can finally give kudos to this lovely dining experience and delicious food! My work team had our year end lunch here for about 17 people including two kiddos and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate even in a mom/pop size restaurant. We felt like one big family hanging out eating some great food (***** stew, oxtail, catfish and bomb sides). You can bring your own drink too (and act appropriately of course?). My company has also catered food with Momma Luvs and the food is just as great as dining in! Please come by and get your plate(s) and I’m sure you’ll be back because my coworkers and I have surely been returning customers!! Big up!“

“Walking into the restaurant gave me the vibes of home, loved it. Super clean inside and friendly staff. As my family and I sat down we were given little bowls of soup for appetizers and it was so delicious. It was cold and raining today so that soup really hit the spot. We ordered and got our food pretty quick. Food was absolutely delicious as well! My favorite was the chicken that came with my green spaghetti. You can tell it’s fresh. I’ll be going here from now on! The price was also pretty affordable! Highly recommend this restaurant“
