Starbucks in San Antonio

“One of my favorite Starbucks in the US! I travel a lot and I always love coming home, and going to this Starbucks. They have redone the interior and I love sitting inside in the homey atmosphere, as well as sitting outside where it’s beautiful underneath live oak trees.
Highly recommend! I drink green tea almost every day. ❤️“

“I really like this particular Starbucks location. It's in an older neighborhood and has big windows to take in life outside. It doesn't feel as corporate as a lot of other locations. I also appreciate how they keep their hours updated on Google map on days with bad weather like today with the winter storm so that people don't waste effort driving over when they're closed.“

“I must say, I have always had loyalty to Starbucks, but I’ve never had loyalty to a specific store before recently. Earlier in February I had gotten the worst news of my life. I was in my last year of graduate school, with an unpaid internship, bills piling up, and I’d just gotten a text that my marriage was done. (Relevance incoming, I promise.) I went into the Starbucks closest to my house because I needed to do homework but didn’t want to be in my ex-wife’s way. I was crying in the Starbucks while typing the most important essay of my career — it was all very dramatic. Aby had taken my order at that time and had been extremely nice. She came by and checked on me several times, despite me dramatically crying.

The second time I went back, the staff immediately remembered my name and order. Was it due to the fact that I’d been a mess when I last came in? Possibly. But, over the months I continued to go back and every single time I go in there, I am greeted from the staff by name and everyone is SO nice. I love going in and hearing the latest about what is going on with everyone when business is slow and I love sitting in the corner doing homework when it’s bustling.

HUGE shoutout to Aby, Taylor, Shosh, and Alyssa. I seriously would not have survived the last six months without y’all. Aby and Taylor, especially. Y’all are the real MVPs. There is seriously not one rude person on staff at this location. And I don’t care if I have to take detours out of my way, this is the ONLY location I will go to now.“

“This location of Starbucks, which is located on Broadway in San Antonio, TX, is fantastic! :-) I recently popped by their drive-through to grab a coffee and the staff were very kind + efficient. In terms of my order itself, the venti PSL with Blonde Espresso & oat milk that I requested, made extra hot, was perfectly executed! This is a great location.“

“I don’t know who has been running this place for the past month but this has been the most consistent Starbucks I’ve ever been to. My drink comes out absolutely perfect every time. No other Starbucks in the area kills it every time they do. 10/10 recommend.“

“I don't regularly visit this Starbucks, but I need to. The employees were so nice and ACTUALLY asked if I wanted to enjoy my coffee in a mug. The lady with the pink streak in in her hair was so sweet, brought out my food and even had a small conversation with me at the register before finishing out my order.“

“This is my daily Starbucks. I feel incredibly welcomed every time I come round, I love chatting with each of the partners. Even if they don’t particularly know me because they may be newer, they’re super accommodating and respectful. They always ask how I am. It truly helps my day every day start out right.

It’s to the point where they know my order and they know my voice when I come over the drive-through speaker.

I think I keep coming back more for them than the coffee at this point. Just a 10 out of 10 location.

“I absolutely love this Starbucks branch! Every visit is a great experience: the hot drinks like coffee and lattes are always delicious, and the cold drinks like cold brew and Frappuccino are super refreshing. “Wow! I love having coffee in a hot mug… And for the first time ever at a Starbucks, I was asked if I wanted my coffee for here or to go. (Somehow, I just feel it’s snobbish to ask for the mug, but if I’m asked, I feel free to opt for it..) I will be back! Thank you!“

“We came to get coffee and our car broke down in front of the to go order screen! The staff not only gave us water and coffee, but Gabriela, called a friend to come help us with our car while we arranged a tow truck. Just saying, they weren't obligated to go out of their ways to help, but did so out of kindness and compassion. The coffee was good too!“

“I just visited this location via drive thru and I was so pleasantly surprised to speak with Eden at the drive thru window while I was waiting on my order. She asked about my day, if I had any special plans, and how I enjoyed my Thanksgiving. In this day and age it's so rare for those who work in service to genuinely care about those they are serving. This small interaction made my day and I want to say thank you to Eden for your wonderful and cheery disposition. It was the best interaction I've had at a Starbucks in years.“

“This is one of the best Starbucks in the area. I have a couple other locations closer, but this one has friendly employees that actually get my orders correct. They listen to their customers requests like “can they get it a little extra toasted.” Nice work to all of the employees at this location for a job well done, thanks. “I go to this location all the time I think it’s a really great location. I think as far as cleanliness atmosphere and staff customer service. It’s all great. I’ve never had even a bad experience one time. The only thing about it is the quality control of the drinks needs a little work. They don’t come out bad by any means however they are very inconsistent. I ordered the same drink every time I go and it always taste different I love love the staff there though“

“Haven’t been to this Starbucks in a long while but was in the area. Very welcoming upon entering inside, patient when thinking about your order and friendly employees. Brought out my breakfast sandwich to where I was sitting. Wrote a friendly word on my drink, not every Starbucks does this. Made my day and won’t hesitate to visit again. Great job!“

“This is how you serve a Frappuccino!!! Wanted to give the man working the window Thursday at 1223 the biggest compliment ever. Starbucks your employees have been slacking on these Frappuccinos!! He went to hand me some watered down (because I add a shot) barely any whip cream frap, I sighed because often I send the coffee back to give me some more whip cream to match the picture lol but he paused and looked at it and asked me to wait a second while he fixed it and brought me back this masterpiece lol made my day. “Great customer service. The barista Corey, was very helpful in helping me decide what I wanted to order. She made a delicious vanilla bean frap and then the cherry on top was the warm vanilla bean danish that she recommended me. Would try again, loved the experience.“

“This is the MOST efficient starbucks I have ever been to. Went through the drive thru, ordered 2 drinks with the guy waiting to take my order, drove around the building and it was already ready. It was so fast to get my 2 hot lattes. And they were good lattes 🙂“

“I usually come by to get coffee and marinate in my studies and coffee before my school day starts at Paul Mitchell (FYI - Future nail tech graduating February 2026…look for me and book!). Anyway - I started coming into this location fairly regularly beginning last July and I have to say that it has always been a lovely experience. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly and it’s so nice that they know their customers by their first names and even some of their orders for the regulars. That’s a first for me and maybe that means I’ve been deprived of excellent customer service up until now, but either way, they are supremely attentive and great at their jobs! They all handle pressure with so much grace (this is a super busy location in the mornings). I definitely recommend this location simply because of the staff - but the drinks and bites to eat are also yummy. I’m going to miss not being on this side of town once I graduate, but fully plan on stopping by when I’m in the area after February if I have a hankering for a hot cup of coffee and a smile!“

“Headed over from the local DIY store after being told to leave work due to furlough. I always like to go into an establishment rather than go through the drive-through so I can get a feel for the environment and to cleanliness. I was very happy to see the cleanliness of the establishment! I ordered a Venti vanilla latte with oat milk… Hot. I was definitely not disappointed!! They made an excellent cup of coffee!!“

“I came to this Starbucks to read my bible while I eat my Starbuck’s sandwich and drank a cafe mocha. All three ladies: Krystal, Abby and Alexia were fabulous. Alexia took my order and warmed up my sandwich. Abby/Krystal made my drink. Both items were perfect. They also had such great attitudes with each other and us as the customers. You can tell they really enjoy working together. The atmosphere was one of joy, kindness and safety. They helped a homeless man get what he needed and kept him on track. He was lost and they were so kind to him while making sure everyone was still being served. The DM should be very proud that these ladies are working here. They represented the company very well.“

“It was my partners first time at Starbucks, she signed up for the app. We were both extremely confused about how to work it and Kat was VERY patient with us and helped us with what to order and the app! Although I was bummed there wasn’t any protein drinks she figured out quickly with what we were requesting what would be best for us. Most people aren’t very patient anymore and customer service isn’t always the best, but Kat had great customer service and patience!!! We will definitely be returning customers to this location! I had my b'day drink yesterday and 2 drinks were wrong,BUT.....ASH, made EVERYTHING right in the Starbucks world and corrected the 2 drinks,did so with no hesitation and a wonderful smile.... “My husband and I stopped in here for a coffee as it was just down the road from my doctors office. It was a nice Starbucks - it looked pretty new. Coffees were great and the staff were good too. “I’m visiting from Seguin Texas because my husband‘s in the hospital and I had the pleasure of getting a white chocolate mocha from this location and it’s better than Seguin. It even made me find out that instead of getting cold foam I was getting whipped cream and Seguin because they told me the difference between The textures and the bounce in the cream.“

“This location of Starbucks, which is situated inside the Long School of Medicine, is really convenient for a coffee run if you’re on UT Health San Antonio’s campus! The staff are helpful + kind, and my coffee was made exactly as I ordered it the first time I visited!“

So I would say it's a Starbucks like you would expect and has friendly staff. Parking can be tight in the early hours during the week and a line for drive through. It's to be expected. Park facing the building for morning shade but by 11am it's blazing hot.“
