“4 stars because it's just fast food but this is THE Popeyes to go to in San Antonio. Your going to get delicious hot food here that is oddly better than the other locations around town. Usually, I don't go to Popeyes but this location is my exception to that.“
“The food was good, although my husband ordered in the store for take out, and the employees were so busy making audible comments about him that they forgot both of the sides. We noticed in the car and had to go back in, and they still forgot about the biscuits.“
“I just want to recognize the hard working afternoon crew . Super professional even with what I saw to be a 3 person crew . It was busy but they all kept calm and each order drive thru and in store the order was fulfilled with little to no wait. These guys deserve a raise. And my order was accurate and fresh . “I've been here multiple times I always get the blackened tenders and those are made to order which takes about 4 min always hot and fresh. Ms Becky and Sabrina are always very nice when I go they are the ones working and don't mind making fresh fries“
“Classic southern Louisiana style fried chicken ? red beans and rice ? coleslaw and, IMHO, the best gluten free biscuits available from any fast food franchise restaurant in America.Because I usually need to keep moving when I’m working, I don’t stop at Popeye’s too often. It always requires taking the time to sit down to savor and enjoy. Can’t rush it and I’d end up wearing most of it if I tried to eat it while driving. ?????Vegetarian options: Just order sides!Parking: Popeye’s frequently is part of the TA Travel Stops locations. So there’s always a generous parking lot.“
“Love the sweet n spicy 6 piece combo with a chilled strawberry lemonade. Only downside is it only comes in a small. I have visited this place a few times. So plenty of different personalities. The staff for the most part are pretty good. Sometimes a family order turned to a small so I had to turn around and rhe staff was quick to fix it. Calling the restaurant was not the best encounter. The female manager hung up. Going to store the staff doesn't mind and will take care of the customer.“
“Placed order online was in line for 20 mins after letting them know I had an online order. Once I get up there he reads me another order, I tell him no I had an online order, but told him if I have to wait longer forget it. Gave me my order no apology for having to wait 20 mins in line. The whole process for them was moving and working SLOW.“
“This was my first time picking up food to go from the new Popeyes Chicken on Military Drive and Ascot and I was very pleasantly surprised at how fast, accurate and hot my order was. Everyone was in it and they gave me some very good pieces of chicken. I might drive out of my way to go back to this Popeyes location again.“
“The young lady that attended us at the drive through was the most courteous friendly and outgoing person she actually had us wait for our food and brought it out in the rain it was raining pretty bad. I wished I would have been able to see her name tag I just ran through there on Tuesday evening. Food was amazing and very fresh service was great. I never had customer service or person at a drive-through ever to treat you like you were the only person there“
“The spicy chick this time wasn't spicy. I'm guessing they changed the spice profile or maybe I got regular chicken. It was seasoned and juicy just not SPICY at all. In all 8 pieces. I was disappointed at that. Biscuits were buttery as usual. Mashed potatoes were good and flavorful with the gravy as usual.Bring back the spicy chicken!“
“Chicken is delicious as always! It was lunch but the wait time wasn't that bad. Price is reasonable. The 3-pc bone-in dark chicken pieces are quite small but still cooked perfectly. The chicken tenders were a little tough though. No honey for the biscuit, you have to ask for it. But the biscuit is good on its own even without honey.“

“We walked into the busy dinning room to be greeted by the manager in a very rude manner. Telling us that the dinning room was closed when we still had time. She agreed to let us stay in but told us that no matter what we ordered it was going to take a very long time. And every time I spoke to the cashier she made sure to speak very loudly so they couldn't hear us. I was very disappointed with her professionalism I went Tuesday March 12th night at 9:45pm“

“Came here around 3:30 pm Wednesday Location was clean women's restroom spotless it's mainly females workers. food was hot and delicious my only complain was the soda machine by the taste of it I tried Hawaiian punch , Sprite and Orange Fanta have a aftertaste hard to notice if you don't pay attention. It will definitely need a professional deep cleaning other than that pretty good Will be coming back“
“The lady who took my order and the gentleman at the window on Feb 2nd around 9:30pm were very nice, polite and helpful unlike some of the rude people across the street at McDonald's. I was so impressed I wanted to drive back through and give them a tip and my Husband wanted to shake his hand for being so pleasant but there was people behind us and it was late. Not to mention the sweet and spicy wings I got were fire soooo delicious I had nothing left but bare bones the best fast food wings I've ever had“

“I honestly love coming here already. Tonight makes my 3rd time. It's so easy to feel this way when the customer service is freakin superb!! Shout out to George, Jessica, Ashton, Lupe, and the other young gentleman who took my order on night 1. “Location access is a tad stressful. You can see it easily but getting to it take determination.Ordered 8 piece reg with some biscuits.Lady was super sweet and advised us that there would be a wait for fresh chicken. We were ecstatic. Cause we will happily wait for fresh made food. So we moved out of the way and waited. About 8 minutes later they brought us a box of exactly what we had ordered.We were stunned. It was flavorful, crispy, and perfectly cooked. Even the biscuits were perfect. My phone was not cooperating or I would have taken pictures of the perfection.Popeyes in general have had okay chicken but nothing to rave about in my area (lumping 2 locations together) so we were not really sure what to expect.Apparently ya need to order a larger amount so they make it fresh.We do not buy fried Chicken often but next time we do, I will be sure to post about it and hopefully it will be an equally awesome event.Parking: Beware! So many cars driving in the wrong direction and people walking through the lot to get to the neighboring businesses.“
“The food was great, the service friendly and kind, the only issue is the absolutely poor management. Katherine only scheduled 3 people to work on a Friday night, which is always going to be busy, because she doesn't want to pay a lot of OT. Those three did a heroic job, but there's only so much a short staff can do. We waited over an hour at the drive-thru, and the blame lies 100% on the selfish, irresponsible, and plain terrible management of Katherine. This location and these fantastic workers deserve a better boss.“
“Our experience is short and sweet. We came in to order three chicken sandwich meals. We got our order and it was completely fine and delicious. It's a little chilly inside but tolerable. The place is really clean, the music pleasant Cajun. It's quiet and the employees were nice when we engaged in conversation. A plus is: they have a plug bar to charge your phones with 6 plugs.“
“Certainly the quality varies from city to city. Texas has some darn good chicken, perfectly season and juicy with a crunch.Mash potatoes were great and their seasoned fries were the highlight of my lunch.The muffins were very good and like just out of the oven. First time I saw honey in packs like ketchup goes perfect with the muffins still warm.“
