We have never had a bad experience at this little restaurant. We took my mom for lunch and sat in the back room which, although lacking in ambience , was very quiet and perfect for her. We had hamburgers and steak frites , and all were delicious.
I can't say enough good things about Hopfields. It has been the go-to restaurant that I take people visiting from out of town for years. The menu is constantly changing, but consistently excellent. The beer selection is vast and also regularly changing. I'm not much of a drinker of hard liquor, but a member of my party last night was very happy with her cocktails as well.

Amazing experience visiting Austin and going to Hopfields. I spent over 30 min trying to find the perfect restaurant for my mood which included craft cocktails (single cube a must), creative food, and a good atmosphere.The service was friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in, and the other guests were also kind and welcoming.
