Amazing experience visiting Austin and going to Hopfields. I spent over 30 min trying to find the perfect restaurant for my mood which included craft cocktails (single cube a must), creative food, and a good atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in, and the other guests were also kind and welcoming. They ran out of the duck wings I wanted but the chef offered to make me something special with duck which was absolutely amazing. I also splurged on the oysters and they were so good...I live in Seattle so I feel spoiled with oysters but these were above par in comparison. The bartenders are mixologists and know what they're doing. It's really a calming and nice atmosphere with good music at the perfect volume and great for sitting at the bar or having a group.Well done and thank you for the experience!

Decent wine list. The wine turned out to be the best part of the meal. I went with the French basics: French Onion soup and Beef Bourgogne. The onion soup was OK- many places in town are much better (III Forks). Before I was half-finished with the soup, the entree arrived. This should never occur at a French restaurant. The meat was warm (not hot) and the carrots were COLD. The sauce was bland. The meat had too much fat. The servers were all young and didn't seem to care- no enthusiasm. Will not be back.

We have never had a bad experience at this little restaurant. We took my mom for lunch and sat in the back room which, although lacking in ambience , was very quiet and perfect for her. We had hamburgers and steak frites , and all were delicious.

I can't say enough good things about Hopfields. It has been the go-to restaurant that I take people visiting from out of town for years. The menu is constantly changing, but consistently excellent. The beer selection is vast and also regularly changing. I'm not much of a drinker of hard liquor, but a member of my party last night was very happy with her cocktails as well.

Been coming to Hopfields for the past 12 years (since its opening) and it never disappoints. Great wine and beer selection, lovely atmosphere and delicious food.

Incredible food! Atmosphere is a bit more like a typical brewpub. I don’t drink alcohol so I ordered espresso- I’d wanted to enjoy it with my crème brûlée, that sweet-bitter combination is so nice.I had to ask for my espresso three more times after ordering the two together and only ended up getting it nearly 20 minutes later.I cannot remember when I last had less attentive service. It was not especially busy, I ordered at the bar.

Funky place to go if you really want good beer or a well made cocktail. Food has a French or Belgian prominence. I wish they offered a smaller portion of mussels as an appetizer.

Fantastic service, excellent food and cocktails. The only negatives was that it was quite loud and hard to have a normal conversation at times, and the crepe dessert was very so-so.

We'd visited Hopfields for years, but only for lunch or brunch. We'd get our cars washed at Arbor Car Wash next door on weekends, then step over to Hopfields to eat while we waited. That changed last evening when we had dinner there for the first time. The escargot dumplings were both decadent and exceptional, and the beef tartare was the classic French style. The special lamb shank over polenta and root vegetables was impressive. The cocktails were first-rate, particularly the mezcal margarita. The wine list is relatively short but very well selected, with a good mix of bordeaux and burgundy. Our server Clinton was a real pro. All-in-all a wonderful evening, and we'll be back for another dinner again soon.

Food- no complaints- deliciousService a little slow during brunch when not busy. It could get loud when two different parties in one room area. Enjoy introducing friends to this venue.Parking: Parking an issue, but does not a deterrent.

Parking can be a little difficult, especially at prime time on a Friday. The appetizers didn't knock my socks off but the entrees, drinks and desserts were incredible. Our service was wonderful.
