The food is from Pool Burger downstairs which has an exceptional veggie burger if you have one of "those" in your group. Go there and share a pitcher with friends. Plus, they have White Claws.“

You walk in and you're taking a step back to the late early 70s. Here, you'll find cheap, no frills beer and limited seating. For a change, try their Arm-Modelo: tabasco, lime and salt on the rim. Open, mix and kick back.

This is a a place where you go can have actual conversations with persons sitting next to you without music blasting in your ear. It's so small, it's hard not to make friends.

“Very cool neighborhood bar. It seems like a “dive” bar from outside, but it’s a very classy and well-kept bar. The music they had on was so relaxing and chill. We really appreciated the ambiance and ability to comfortably visit with the bar tender. He was very personable and made great drinks. The happy hour goes til 7:00, which is hard to find in Austin. We don’t live on the east side, but will definitely be back.“

“Twin Creeks is an old-school roadside dive bar just off FM 2469 in North Austin. Opening hours are around 3pm to midnight each night. They have an indoor bar and outdoor seating next to a small creek with clear water and small fish. There is an indoor and outdoor stage and pool table as well. Bartender was very friendly when we popped in for a round of beers. Interesting mix of patrons came in during the afternoon hour we were there, most wanting to enjoy the great mid spring time weather outside. Just seemed like a really good, local watering hole in North Austin, a place I'd be glad to visit regularly if we lived in the area.“

“Fell in love with this place. A group of girlfriends and I were just stopping in for a quick shot but it ended being the funnest part of our whole night! We ended up staying for a couple hours singing along to every song this tall cute cowboy of a bartender played for us. We would request songs and he’d play anything we wanted to hear and it turned into a big party. No place ever does that! Unexpected hugging, singing, drinking, dancing, laugh fest. “Cool little dive bar. Good and friendly bar service with a mix of different xmas themed cocktails and Christmas decor. We appreciated the $5 special which includes a small high life and a shot of whiskey.
