“This place is great! The bartenders were very kind, the crowd was having a blast, and there’s plenty of room to sit and visit both inside and outdoors. Wailin’ Storms was playing that night, the lighting and sound was perfect (check out the band cause they are REAL awesome). It was clean, no fights took place, just things running smoothly to create such a great vibe.. As for parking, you can park along the road- there’s no meters or tow signs. Excellent experience. “Volstead is a great little spot sharing a back patio with Hotel Vegas. There is a food truck that's pretty good, and hotel Vegas always has good bands. They often have bands that share the back patio. Numerous events happen there all the time. Take a friend and go see some music. Volstead will occasionally/ often have a DJ bumping some good dancing tunes. See you get an electronic element in contrast to Hotel Vegas live bands. Usually when hotel Vegas has a cover, Volstead will frequently still be free. And the patio will be free.“
“Karaoke Sunday! It was a fun time. The crowd was super great cheering on the singers. If you are looking for a small iconic hole-in-the-wall type of atmosphere with a different kind of crowd, it's a 4+ star. Big John (karaoke host) did a great job rotating the singers and keeping the energy flowing. The bartender was very attentive to the customers and super sweet, and greeted everyone with a super beautiful smile! ?Parking: Parking seemed plentiful, just be careful if it rains while you're inside.“

“We love a local, neighborhood dive bar! Nothing fancy, but if you want a place to just chill out and enjoy a drink, this place can hit the spot. They had a decent selection of bourbons and beers that ranged from cheap to pricey. I was also informed that their Jell-O shots were quite tasty! Even though they don't offer food, they did offer to share their homemade Super Bowl snacks they had brought in, and to me that says a lot about who goes here and who works here.“

It's self seating and they will give you a number and bring your ordered items out to you.I ate the deviled eggs and the gumbo. The deviled eggs were so creamy and delicious I only would of added more hot sauce for July liking but they were good.The gumbo was warm and flavorful, it had a lot of green chilies in so it was a little spicy.“
“Decided to finally check this place out after multiple times of driving by and was pleasantly surprised! Such a hidden gem. Not many bars like this left in Austin. Cozy and no-frills dive bar. They have a large outdoor seating area with an outdoor stage and creek filled with fish and turtles that you can feed. The bartender, Julia, was very sweet and welcoming. Was told that they typically have live music every Wednesday and Saturday and open mic nights on Sundays. Will definitely be back to check that out!“

“Everyone Rocks here!We got Gary the Gatekeeper, Mikey and Luke slinging drinks with excellent service and speed, Evan keeping the place spotless, the sound guys, the excellent nightly bands to include my personal favorite -Armadillo Road and the best little taco truck in the back. I love this place and every interaction I've ever had there in the past 4 years of visiting (I drive an hour to specifically come here). People from all over the world come together in this little iconic honky tonk to dance, play pool & drink together. I honestly can't think of a better place to spend my time and money- the connection amongst people & atmosphere is quite magical ? Make sure to try at least one dance before you go- the regulars are wonderful at teaching the two-step, even if you think you have two left feet ?I highly recommend checking out this bar, promise you won't regret it!“

The staff took up for him because he was paying and playing with credits he didn’t pay for. Shame on them even though I explained what happened and the eye in the sky caught it all about 23:00. I hate Touchtunes thieves. This is my job to weed them out. You don’t do that by being sober. I bet he never comes back again. If he does, I’ll be waiting. “So glad we found this place! We were next door getting our car washed and the owner of the car wash recommended we go across the street to get a drink while we waited. The vibe in this pace was so cool. A friend that was with us said that the place felt like something from a movie scene. The bartender was very nice. I had the frozen Irish coffee. It was SO good!! I love souvenirs and the was excited to keep my cup. We will definitely be stopping there next time we are in Austin!“
