Bender is a lively, no-frills bar with a dark atmosphere and multiple TVs for games. The bartenders are friendly, efficient, and attentive, serving drinks quickly. The menu features great fried pickles, wings, mini corn dogs, waffle fries, and a Black & Bleu burger. The curly fries come out hot and seasoned. The atmosphere is fun with a classic Austin vibe, making it a great place to socialize and enjoy the space and company. There is a game room, pool tables, and a competitive pinball machine in the back, adding to the lively vibe. It is a great local joint with good bar food and a good environment for a bite and a beer.
