This place is nostalgic for me! I would come here years ago with my soul family(chosen family)and till this day it’s ever so inviting! The bouncers are nice as well as the bartenders. I appreciate that they highlight the auto gratuity on the receipt so they don’t trick you in to tipping more. Which makes me tip them more for the amazing honestly and service! I'm genuinely surprised this isn't listed as a 5 star spot in ATX. If you're one of those people who is worried that you might not be "gay enough" for a gay bar, you have nothing to fear at Cheer Up Charlies. It's an incredibly welcoming space where the vibe is very relaxed queer freedom. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
