We wandered into the social club after being down the street at another bar. The energy here was way more chill than the others on this strip, with a noticeable absence of frat dudes. The volume was appropriate for the size of the room. They had mean girls playing on the TV with a phenomenal array of 80s and early 90's music. Stopped in here for a quick beverage while waiting for a reservation nearby and loved it. A perfect dive with cheap, stiff drinks and a friendly bartender. This place gives great old Austin vibes that'll keep me coming back.

I've been frequenting this place for 10+ years and it hasn't really changed at all, which is a good thing. Its an unpretentious dive with decent taps, and a chill atmosphere. This building is probably bordering on historic status as far as old Austin bars go, and if this place ever tanks I will probably move away from ATX all together. VCSC, please never stop showing pirated uncensored horror movies, and please never change the jukebox. I love you.
