The Dead Rabbit, Austin Reviews
Used to be a welcoming and light-hearted place for a quick cocktail at exorbitant prices. Has now turned into a political theater where one gets preached to by insular Gen Z'ers with little concept of what life is outside NY or liberal enclaves. Come for a cocktail.... stay for the politics.
Always promised myself on my next trip to NYC I would go to The Dead Rabbit. I am so pleased I got to do it. The staff the cocktails the food and the decor & cleanliness were A1. Loved the welcome my friend and I got, (even when we were a bit late for our booking) throughout the service from the fabulous servers. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Bloody brilliant 👏
Amazing. Must-go location in Austin! They serve up wonderful array of drinks, especially their icy coffee - Irish and otherwise. The Dead Rabbit also does coffee in the morning starting at 7am - their tiramisu coffee is a must have. Great food- their sliders are delicious.
Wonderful service in a restaurant and bar with great ambiance. The team at the Dead Rabbit is so kind, considerate and friendly. Reasonable prices for an exceptional experience.

The Dead Rabbit is an Irish pub and one of the better spots on Dirty Sixth. It offers the best pub food, with a scotch egg that is hands down the best ever, an excellent pastrami sandwich, bangers and mash, and fish & chips. The cod fillet in the fish n chips is unusually thick, flaky, juicy, and fresh. The cocktails are phenomenal, very well executed, with some very unique recipes. The service is top notch, with bartenders who are excellent, super professional, and masters at their craft. The whole staff is friendly and welcoming, and the manager is very kind and apologetic. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate with seating plus tables for groups, and great vibes without the usual 6th Street chaos. There was a mixup with a doorman that caused some drama, but the bar staff tried to make up for it and the manager took care of the tab. Aside from that, it is a great establishment to get a drink at, and a really solid place to hang with friends. Cannot visit Austin without checking it out.
