We loved having her!
great place to eat vegan!
One of my fav spots in town over the years. Such a cozy neighborhood spot with the best vegan friendly options. Fav dishes are the spicy pesto dip, South Austin stir fry and the Veggie Royale! Also indulge in the Taxi Driver. So worth it.

Bouldin Creek Cafe offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu features a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, including the popular pesto dip and dishes like tofu "omelet," La Dona, a grilled cheese with plant-based chorizo, and breakfast tacos with unforgettable tofu scramble. Customers frequently praise the amazing vegan options, especially the BEST cornbread served with the house pesto and vegan butter. The restaurant also provides gluten-free options and includes a 20% service charge for transparency, which some guests find controversial. Many guests highlight the friendly and knowledgeable staff, which adds to the welcoming vibe of the cafe. Everything is either vegan or can be made vegan, making it a great choice for anyone, regardless of dietary preferences. The vibe is laid-back, artsy, and full of good energy, making it one of the favorite spots in Austin. Visitors enjoy the fresh, creative food, strong coffee, and friendly service, often returning multiple times during a visit. The extensive menu includes creative, freshly made, and tasty items like hearty grilled blueberry cornbread, the potato leek omelet with refried black beans and potato hash, and the breakfast scramwich. The massaman jackfruit curry, spicy pesto made with chipotle and pecans served with ciabatta wedges, and the great yumpkin late and matcha late are also highly recommended. Many find the vibrant, funky Austin vibe, the homey feel, and attentive servers make this a top brunch spot, even though there might be a wait. Visitors can enjoy browsing a nearby vintage store while waiting and appreciate the overall friendly, local atmosphere of the cafe.
