Torchy's Tacos, located downtown ATX, is a go-to spot where the food is great and the environment is fairly calm. Everything from appetizers to entrees is excellent, with some of the best tacos available. The Trailer Park taco is highly recommended for a spicy fried chicken taco, and the Three way nachos are superb with great chips. The tacos are unique, bold, and delicious, though on the small side, so ordering three tacos is typical. The menu offers options to please just about everyone. Prices are good for a downtown restaurant. However, the men’s room has a truly appalling stench and needs to be condemned and rebuilt. Service can be a little slower than preferred, even when not busy, and a booth had a sticky spot. An order of churros to go was overcooked with little cinnamon and sugar. Overall, the food is good tasting, but the queso and chips have way too many chips for the dip size.
