Delicious, friendly service, and quaint atmosphere. Would have given 5 stars on food as our entrees were excellent, but we had a side chocolate chip pancake that was hard to find more than 5 or 6 chips, which made it a bit of a let down compared to the rest. Overall, 5 stars and would go again.
This adorable cafe is a military favorite due to its close proximity to the historic Camp Mabry Austin base as well as its love of pancakes from the service members. Parking is purely street but plenty of it. You don’t have to worry about paid street parking here. So that’s a relief. This is the original spot and it is outstanding. The food is delicious and super clean and I want to eat half the things on the menu every time I'm here. This time I ate the Texas Benedict and a gluten-free blueberry pancake. Delicious. The staff here is also exceptional and very friendly and also seem to love the food.
