“Came in today to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I had the patty melts and fries. While my wife had the Buffalo Chicken Gnocchi. The peanut butter cheesecake was excellent.“

“My husband and I went here for lunch today. All the staff was very courteous and our waitress, Maggie, was just wonderful and very informative on the the food and answered other questions we asked. “We got to try Simmer Down Cafe for the first time the other night! I was surprised that there were almost no customers on a Saturday at dinner time. It seems like a pretty cool hangout spot, so maybe it gets busier later in the evening. There's a bar, a patio with seating and a pool table, a little lounge area with couches, and even a few slot machines. The food was basic but not bad, and our waiter was friendly. It's great that they have breakfast options available all day! There were two gentlemen working the whole dining room, so hopefully other staff showed up later. There was nobody behind the bar, and I did overhear one of the gentlemen say that all the bartenders were fired, but maybe he was referring to somewhere else. It's nice to see staff still in good spirits and working hard even with just two of them!“

“We had the avocado toast, cinnamon roll, and waffle flight with churro, banana, chicken and waffles, and grilled cheese… absolutely freaking fantastic! 10/10 recommend!“

“The Shrimp Teriyaki was good. I do wish the salad wasn’t put with the hot food. It makes it hot too and mushy. The big bowl with extra veggies doesn’t travel well and there aren’t many veggies on this like advertised, and didn’t taste that well. It was soupy. The lettuce wraps were okay. I still recommend this place.“

“We’re in Round Rock to watch the Volts play at Dell Diamond and needed a place to eat lunch. Omg! This place was amazing. Our table ordered a wide variety of food and all had rave reviews. The Dr Pepper cake is a must try. Ask to sit in Madison S’s section if she’s working. She was so friendly and on top of things. Will be back again!“

“This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to when we're at Kalahari Resorts in Round Rock, TX - Our last dine in experience was on June 2, 2026 and we ordered the mexican street corn dip, quesabirria tacos and chicken quesadilla and the food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious! Our server Ethan was the best! He was so kind, helpful and attentive the entire time! Definitely recommend this place!“
