“I HOPE YOU ARE HUNGRY!Fried Catfish (gluten free) was excellent. I chose beans and cabbage as sides and both were very good. Service is a tad slow, but consistent.Celiac safe. Dedicated fryer for gluten free. Not too many places know how to make great cocktail sauce, but they do. Just the right amount of horseradish flavor without it going through your nose. I plan to return soon.“
“Good home cooking meals. Great sweet tea. Usual sides make this a great place to eat.Parking: On a busy day for the shopping center, parking can be an issue.Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps and wheelchair access. Handicap parking can be an issue if the surrounding stores are busy.“
“Y'all's Down-Home Southern Café is an absolute gem tucked away in the heart of the ROCK, aka Round Rock. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with the irresistible aroma of Southern comfort cooking that instantly transports you to Grandma's kitchen on a Sunday afternoon.Let's talk about those chicken wings. Crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, they're the epitome of Southern comfort food. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, with just the right amount of seasoning to leave you craving more. And let's not forget about the size – these wings are big enough to share, but you might find yourself hoarding them all to yourself. Now, onto the sides. The black-eyed peas are a standout dish, with tender beans and bits of onion that add a pop of flavor with every bite. They taste like they've been simmering on the stove all day, infusing each spoonful with the warmth and comfort of a homemade meal. While the fried corn may not have been the star of the show, it still held its own. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it provided the perfect contrast to the savory goodness of the chicken wings. And while a touch more seasoning would have taken it to the next level, it still satisfied that craving for Southern comfort food. And of course, Southern meal would only be complete with cornbread. Moist, buttery, and oh-so-delicious, it's the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Each bite is like a taste of home, reminding you of lazy Sundays spent gathered around the table with loved ones.Even during a pickup order, the attention to detail and friendly service at Y'all's Down-Home Southern Cafe shines through. As I placed my order, the server or bartender who assisted me was not only pleasant but took the time to repeat my order back to me. It might seem like a small gesture, but it's those little touches that truly make a difference in the overall dining experience. Their attentiveness ensured that my order was accurate and exactly what I was craving, adding an extra layer of warmth to the already inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. It's these moments of genuine hospitality that keep me coming back to Y'all's Down-Home Southern Café time and time again.“
“Food and drinks are high quality. Service was excellent. We had a large party of 12 and made the reservation about 2 weeks ahead. Most of the party arrived 30 minutes early and we waited in the bar area per the hostess' request. I'm pretty sure our table was ready by the 15 minutes-- til 4 pm mark, but the hostess didn't let us know, until 5 minutes after our reservation, and I had to ask to be seated. With that being said, the Manager that was standing at host stand the entire time started eye balling our family table glancing down at his watch, staring at us... and repeated about every 5 minutes. This started about 1.30 hours into our meal. We had birthday cake and a few presents. I noticed he did the same thing for another large party. It was just okward and weird and we felt too rushed to eat, drink and visit with family. I'm pretty sure our ticket was well over $600. There was a wait at the door but I noticed about 5 empty tables/booths at that time. Maybe next time just let folks enjoy their company without having a passive-aggressive manager peering down their steps of service and timing their stay. 2 hours was not enough time to permit him doing that. Next time we will go somewhere else with the large party.“
“Went in for a bite on a Sunday afternoon on St Patty's. Was excited to learn about their brunch buffet so ended up doing that! Tons of options to sample that were absolutely amazing. Some of the food was generic but by no means bad. I really enjoyed it. They were busy as could be so although service was good I had to go find someone to get wait staff to our table after about 15 minutes if no one showing up to our table. Thereafter, everything was great with them frequenting the table to make sure we had everything we needed. Cocktails were absolutely delicious kudos to the bartending staff! Excited to go back and try more on the menu!“
“The server was the best we've ever had and she was slammed for Valentine's Day but she never missed a beat. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant had reservations available on Valentine's Day and we are so thankful we decided to go! The noise level was perfectly fine as we were seated in their private dining area. Our food was just amazing. The menu is pretty extensive and requires some attention to know what to order versus what you typically order at an ordinary Mexican restaurant. If you go hungry...I highly encourage you to get the meatloaf. It's an excellent dish!“
“There are quite a few gluten-free options, but somehow they are not marked on the menu. They have gluten-free buns and you can substitute grilled chicken or fish for breaded. You can substitute corn tortillas in several dishes. None of this is noted on the menu. Ask the chef. Amazing food it really is worth it“
“We go here for breakfast regularly but this time went for lunch. Got a steak and it was undercooked. However thanks to excellent service from our server Eduardo Eduardo we left happy. Highly recommend this cookout with their exceptional service.“
“A relative showed me this place and it was awesome. It's worth going the extra mile of you're around Austin. The Burger was one of the best I had in a while. The cake was good and the waitress was really friendly and cool. Nice atmosphere overall. The fries are pretty good compared to other places!“
“I had the chicken nachos and they did customize them for me which I appreciated. The food was ok, nothing special. We ordered Key Lime Pie for dessert which was "just ok" as well. The wait staff were very friendly, the service was a little slow especially since it wasn't very busy that night.I wanted to sit outside but they said it was closed. I didn't know if it was closed just for the night or forever ?♀️ Not sure if I'd go back but I'm not from here so if you're local, you might enjoy it. I'll try other places before thinking about returning here. But, overall it was nice.“
