We went for breakfast and were pretty disappointed. The taste of the food was nowhere near what we had when we went this past August. The service was lacking, in that the wrong order was brought and then we had to ask for utensils after the correct food was brought. I ordered pancakes and they were very tough. I'm guessing the pancake batter was overbeaten. More than likely, we will not come again for breakfast.
The food was good but I was mortified for the blonde guy cook! The manager or owner went outside for a break or something. Came in without washing hands and started preparing food. Thank hod not mine!
Then turned to the blonde cook and said, “you ready baby” and yanked unbuttoned his entire shirt at the grill. In front of all customer.

This place is amazing! The mushroom swiss burger was delicious, I love the old diner vibe and the service was great. Will definitely be back!

Based on the reviews, Gold Burger Diner is a favorite spot on the square. The food is always amazing, with great burgers, including the 2-smash with cheese and fries, and a delicious patty melt. The cherry limeade cocktail and Carajillo are popular drinks. The atmosphere is great, and the wait staff is usually very pleasant and accommodating, with excellent service from specific staff. However, service at the bar can be slow if the server is chatting with friends. It is a great diner for breakfast, dinner, or little morning dates, with good coffee and hot teas. Food is never bad, making it a wonderful experience.
