We had the best meal ever, and the experience was just as memorable. Our server, Kelsey, was absolutely fantastic—spot on with every recommendation. Each dish seemed more amazing than the last, and The Truffle Masu-ter, their award-winning dish, absolutely blew us away.

Kelsey also noticed we were celebrating our anniversary and made the evening even more special with a thoughtful treat at the end of our meal. The service, the food, the attention to detail—everything was outstanding. We can’t wait to return!“

“This restaurant has amazing food. Every time we’ve been we’ve enjoyed our meal. My daughter loves sushi so we go occasionally. My favorite is an off menu roll called Monica Vegas. Their cold Lychee sake is to die for.“

“So disappointed, the server stood next to our table HOUNDING and pressuring us to order. Didn’t even get to enjoy our drinks or conversations. Food came to the table all different times. But most importantly, we ordered a $55 bottle of wine and the MOMENT… I took my last sip… they kicked out entire table out 1 hour and 15 minutes into our dinner??? Worst $200 I’ve spent to be rudely kicked out. If someone is a high paying table, ordered an entire bottle… I would be asking how they enjoyed it and if they would like another. Not asking me to leave mid conversation with my guests. Don’t go here if you want to enjoy your time.“

“First time going to this sushi place after getting a recommendation. The bluefin tuna was really good as well as the hand rolls and rolls I ordered. The inside of the restaurant was a bit interesting but the food quality made up for it. I will be going back again when the mood for sushi strikes.“

“The Shrimp Teriyaki was good. I do wish the salad wasn’t put with the hot food. It makes it hot too and mushy. The big bowl with extra veggies doesn’t travel well and there aren’t many veggies on this like advertised, and didn’t taste that well. It was soupy. The lettuce wraps were okay. I still recommend this place.“

If you're looking for a traditional sushi place with very high quality fish served up to accentuate its more fresh, restrained flavors, I'd recommend you look elsewhere. We were not impressed by the sashimi or traditional rolls. Their mainstay seems to be more highly flavored goods.

In that vein, the wasabi octopus was pretty good, and so were some of the sushis that came sauced. Miso was pretty good too.

Overall, I am personally drawn to the more traditional styles. This will not be on that list. Doesn't mean it's bad, just not my style.“

“We live in the area and had never been to Misu so we gave it a try. The food was pretty solid. No complaints, everything tasted good but nothing was wonderful to stand out either.
The environment isn't the most appealing, but the service is very good and prices are reasonable compared to similar places. So for decent sushi is a solid little spot.“

“this is one of the first restaurants I went to in Austin. 5 years ago and its still a favorite. love the vibe, it's never too busy, the food is delicious and the owners are nice. Today my pregnancy baby brain kicked in and I forgot my purse there and didn't notice for over 2 hours, they set it aside for me at their reserved table so no one would take it. Love drunk fish ❤❤“
