“I was pleasantly surprised after visiting shawarman today. Very filling and tasty. Very welcoming owner and delicious food. Came out quick too. He recommended me to try one with cheese in it and it was superb! Come and check it out yourself. I will come back for more, thank you!“
“I had tried their catered food at a friend’s house and had really their chicken shawarma. This time when I visited the restaurant for takeout, I got the beef Shawarma and it was also as good. However, the humus, which is my litmus test, turned out to be dry, coarse and lacking required amount of Tahini. Hope to see their humus recipe switched to the traditional version.“
“We have been going to Leylas for years and they never disappoint. We absolutely love their food! It’s fresh, reasonably priced and so very good! The staff is very kind and we love everything on their menu! Oh and they cater as well. We have used them for moms bday .“
“This is my third time. First two were during Covid, I think and I was on plant-based diet. I only had falafels and different sides, they were all yummy. Tonight, I had kofta platter and rice pudding. Their flavor profiles are not what I accustomed to and they were absolutely delicious! The rice pudding is one of my fave dessert in general and their flavor in it? OMG (bleep) (bleep) it was divine!! And dangerous cuz I could order so many of it, haha.“
“Phenomenal. May have found a new favorite. I’ve been to a cava in Los Angeles, this one is just as good. The employee (I forgot his name) was super nice and kindly reminded me how to construct a bowl and even recommended some ingredients. Really fresh and tasty!“
“Tried The Great Greek tonight for the first time. Impressed at cleanliness of restaurant and how polite the owners were. Service was outstanding. You can tell how much they care and appreciate your business! We had a gyro combo and skewer combo. The steak was excellent and the side salad was very fresh & delish. Glad we discovered another option for fast Greek food. We will be back for sure“
“The food was delicious and fresh with a good amount of variety. We had the beef shawarma wrap, which was big enough to share, the falafel plate with hummus and dolma, and coconut baklava. Everything was great, but the dolma and coconut baklava were exceptional in taste and quality. The staff is also very kind. There's lots of seating available and a variety of drinks and other desserts. We're not from Austin but will definitely be recommending to others and stopping by again when we visit.“
“We love Mediterranean food and have been to a bunch…this one is somewhere in the middle. Had lunch there yesterday…food came out quick and the place is nice and clean but the food is probably a 6/10. Rice to meat wasn’t super well balanced and some of the specifics of our orders (veggies, rice, etc.) didn’t come out as ordered. Not a bad option in a pinch but I think there are some better options nearby.“
“Absolutely some of the best Mediterranean/middle eastern food I've ever had. I've been here a few times, gotten something different every tine and it's all been amazing. The hummus may be the best I've ever had and the spicy kebab are incredible.“
“Mehn! The young guy that work there is respectful and professional! I usually don’t leave these but I pray for bigger things for this lil food truck. I’m the Caribbean guy that came in the black Honda with red rims lol. I appreciate how they don’t act stingy for the food! Most places charge more and give less!!! Yall food is amazing and comforting! Definitely have to come by next time to just leave a big tip!! Keep it up!“
“Great across the board! First time in, I got the plate with the lamb/beef, tabouli, and Greek salad plus I added spicy hummus and pita bread. Its a lot of food and I will have leftovers. Staff was kind and welcoming and store is super clean. Glad to have a new spot for a quick lunch.“
“This was hands down one of the best places for lamb. Ever!!! No exaggerations. The lamb tastes like you are visiting relatives.I’m had the lamb my date had the chicken. And a small baklava and a Persian tea.Amazingly seasoned. Tender. I am pleasantly impressed.“
“We love Bu Jadoh!!! The flavors are delicious. Our favorites are the falafel wrap and chicken shawarma box, and the seasoned fries are yummy. The owner is very kind. The last time we went in person, he offered us free freshly cooked falafels while waiting for our order, which were so warm and rich in flavor. Highly recommend!“
“This place is awesome! Only time Ive really liked falafel so they're doing something right. Guy working there also gave me a free falafel while waiting which is appreciated ?Edit: I wrote this before eating the chicken shawarma, and its1. Huge2. DeliciousIt's also a bit messy but it's the price you pay for good food.Falafel N' More is going to be seeing more of me :)“
“Beirut Food Truck impressed with its authentic Lebanese flavors and quick, friendly service. From the flavorful shawarma to the perfectly seasoned falafel and Shish-Tawook, each bite was a delight. Highly recommended for a quick and delicious taste of Lebanon on the go!“
“Fresh, good quality food. Fast, lots of variety. Great vegetarian options. Casual decor looks and feels great! Nice people, not too fancy. Parking is OK. Take your time going to and from big intersection if traveling eastbound on 620. Enjoy!“
“Really delicious food. It was just perfect. Perfect amount of seasoning, perfect portion size and great presentation. I would highly recommend this place for take out.The building smells like mold as soon as you walk in which can be very off putting. I don’t see myself ever sitting down in the dining room due to the smell.“
“I tried this gem of a place for the first time and they did not disappoint! Delicious fresh food, friendly service, clean facilities, and overall great experience! The food and the service is certainly the star of this place! I was immediately greeted with a smile, and offered suggestions on what tasty items to get. I ordered the BBQ grill plate with the chicken and lamb, along with some falafel, and baklava for dessert. Every single item was delicious. Just so flavorful and beautifully done. Definitely give this place a try- you will be glad that you did! Each item was authentic in flavor and texture, and presentation. I will be back to try other items soon!“
“James, the general manager is a breath of fresh air and took the time to make sure we were taken care of & if there was anything else we needed. Just good ole customer service as it should be. 10/10 would recommend. ???Vegetarian options: Many options for both vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians.Parking: Plenty“
“Well that was a delicious surprise!!!!! My favorite place for falafel and hummus closed early tonight so I came here and got a plate from Al-Demashqy and it was fricking awesome! My daughter and I made wraps from one falafel plate... she got the big squishy roll and I used the giant tortilla things and we loaded them with falafel, hummus and all the good stuff they included plus some garlic sauce they threw in. YummY!!! Wish I had pictures but it all disappeared before I could think about any of that! Lol. Can't wait to go back and try some other things from this super food trailer! Open till midnight! You gotta go!“
“Loved the falafel! One of the best I have ever had!We got a Mediterranean mezze platter. (Not much left on the pic lol)And we also got pizza, interestingly for Mediterranean place they have a full blown pizza menu. And pizza was pretty good. I think we will be back.Prices are descent tooPlace is nice and clean, has an actual restaurant vibe.Service was good too.“
“I highly recommend a visit to Damasus Restaurant to anyone who appreciates authentic and delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. This establishment offers an exceptional dining experience that includes a variety of main dishes, appetizers, delightful desserts, and refreshing juices, all within a notably clean and welcoming environment. Furthermore, the excellent service provided by the staff and the warm hospitality extended by the manager, Mr. Sami, add an invaluable layer to the overall experience. I strongly advise all visitors from other states to try this unique place. I also hope that this restaurant will expand its reach to include branches in other states, specifically Virginia, allowing a greater number of people to enjoy what it has to offer.“
“I found this place online and came in and placed a to go order. This restaurant would have received five stars, but the wait was ridiculously long, and I was the only customer for at least 10 minutes until someone else showed up to place another to go order. The steak was tender, and rice was fluffy and delicious. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry. I was a huge fan of the Mirza Ghasemi, which was very flavorful.“
“An underrated Mediterranean spot close to Parmer! The falafel was fantastic and one of the best I've had in Austin. Don't skip out on the tahini sauce either, it is also delicious!I do wish the atmosphere was a bit more inviting. I try not to have high expectations when dining in at food trucks—but I think keeping just the picnic tables with some nice umbrellas would be a welcome change from the current setup with a metal tent.Service was also great and they are very generous on the portion sizes as well. Overall, excited to go back and try more! Very glad to have this food truck close to where I work.P.S. Look at how neatly the falafel is arranged on the rice! :D“
“This is a great place to get beef gyros, beef/chicken shawrama, rice, freshly made falafel and pitas...they also make the pitas as they're ordered..so good! The seasoning could more intense, but that's my taste. Alone the food is delicious because of its freshness and quality ingredients. The one exception is the "white sauce"; a common issue with the Greek/Persian/Middle Eastern places in Austin generally. I order my food plain and add my own garlic, cucumber, dill tzatziki at home.Sorry, I couldn't hold back to take pics. Next time, I promise, it disappeared quickly it was so good! I highly recommend the place.I typically order out, but the place is nice; it's a regular deli setting. The staff are great. They're very friendly, nice guys! Just a tip, be prepared with your chosen translator app and set it for Turkish. It will help if you need to ask questions. Some of the guys are taking ESL classes but have to work a lot. The food is so good I'm not surprised....I had a couple convos with them while I was waiting for my food. Like I said, friendly, nice guys. And don't forget the baklava; it's pistachio and it's delicious ?Parking: Parking is available on both sides of the street. Shops compete for available parking, but I usually can find a couple open spots.“
“I just had the chicken shawarma over rice the food was excellent, prices are fair.I loved how fresh the tzaziki tasted.Chicken was fresh and juicy. The garlic sauce was so tasty. The best shawarma place in the austin area. Will be back soon for sure????“
“Kaylord and Vanessa are a total delight. I cameIn when they were about to close and they were superb. Excellent service and hospitality. First time in Cava and I have to say, amazing. Food is delicius. So fresh, just what I was craving. Thanks! “
“Amazing food in an unassuming place.I was torn on which food truck outside the good lot to pick but selected Fez. The food is full of flavor! Spicy sauce is perfectly spicy!Gluten friendly options available tooDietary restrictions: Gluten friendly“
