“Grand Donuts has a handful of locations around Central Texas including this location along Little Elm Trail in Cedar Park. They offer a nice range of donuts, kolaches, coffee and related morning food items and are open from 5am to 1pm (Mon to Sat) and 6am to 1pm (Sun). Recently stopped by and picked up an apple fritter that was nicely baked, good portion size and reasonable priced. The fritter tasted very good at home with a fresh cup of black coffee. Would gladly return to Grand donut for another fritter based on this recent experience.“

The donuts are stellar, the cake balls are flavourful, and the macarons are perfect in both texture and taste. Staff was simultaneously helpful and laid back. Very low pressure atmosphere. “Donut Taco off 620 is one of those good little locally owned spots that makes you appreciate neighborhood businesses. They have a solid selection of breakfast and lunch options, and the inside has a simple, homely feel where you can actually sit down, eat, and relax.

I would have LOVED to have a place like this around when I was in school. It’s the perfect quick stop before school to grab something good and get on your way.

But the reason I’ll remember this place has nothing to do with the food.

My son wanted to choose his own donuts and conduct the entire transaction himself. Proud dad moment. He did everything on his own… and then accidentally dropped ALL of his donuts. 😭

The owner didn’t make a big deal about it. He simply replaced every single one.

My son will probably remember that moment for a long time, and so will I. Sometimes a small act of kindness is what turns a local business into a place you don’t forget.

“One of the best donut spots in Austin. The ‘eclairs’/long Johns are fantastic and they do not skimp on the Bavarian cream like most places do.

The donuts are also so soft and just yummy. We will definitely be back, often!

With their plain cake donut, their buttermilk cake donut and their blueberry cake donut, none of them iced that is, being around a little over a hundred calories per donut and 7 g of sugar is quite fantastic“

“First, I was greeted while walking into a friendly atmosphere. Being our first visit, we had agreed upon the sampler box of donuts (for three and 1/2 people). However, the very pleasant young man behind the counter apologized for not having all the donuts for what we wanted (granted it was 1pm on a Sunday) but offered to point out his favorites in lieu of the ones sold out. The young man was so nice about it, I decided to get four kolaches as well. Once back at home, we were ALL very happy with the whole selection, and yes, their Kolaches are definitely worth the mention. Our family now has a new place for our “Pastry Sundays”!!!
