Fajita Pete's - Cedar Park

Food was awesome, hubby and I split the fajitas for one and added 3 flautas and still had leftovers!! It was our first time here ordering, but we will continue to come back.

This place was actually a surprise. I was expecting the same mexican restaurant taste and this one is clearly better. The beans and red salsa were very good. I tried the chicken fajitas. Will come back for more.

Pros: Good overall food experience and fast service
Cons: Mainly a to-go place

Shame to order and pay for tortillas with your bulk fajita meat, not receive them and then have the employee you call about it argue with you instead of just delivering the tortillas we ordered separate from the bulk protein and paid for. All he had to do was pull up the order and confirm it but just kept arguing. We've been loyal customers since opening. Super disappointed! 🥺

Came in and wanted to make a couple substitutions on their items and I was told they don’t do it. Apparently, if I wanted shredded cheese instead of queso, that is an absolute no no. “There’s no button”. Was given confusing and antiquated excuses by a rude worker and decided to walk out. I was told I could have the cheese on the side. I asked if they could just put the cheese on the burrito and for some unknown reason that wizardry is not allowed.

When somebody requests no meat which a LOT of people do, it’s sometimes a nice gesture to fill up the burrito with maybe a little bit more beans and rice. No. That was refused as well because “the tortillas are only a certain size and can only fit a certain amount of ingredients”. I’m no scientist, but I’m pretty sure when you remove things it opens up space for more matter. Why isn’t there just a bean and cheese offering on the menu? I also had to be reminded that “just because you’re removing a bunch of things I still have to charge you the full price…”

I immediately walked out.

This is all related to customer service and that was severely lacking. I’m not a difficult person, but I’ve never encountered this lack of convenience from a restaurant.. a rude tone to very simple questions and normal requests.

Sorry Pete. Had the same experience once before - not getting any more money from me. The food wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t good enough for me to keep coming back.

The food is delicious & homemade.

MEAT: I ordered the Steak Fajita online which to me is FAR superior to the chicken.

TOPPINGS & Tortillas: Came with gauc, pico, rice, cheese, chips, salsa, tortillas, lettuce. EVERYTHING you need which makes it quick & easy.

I love both the flour & corn tortillas. The corn is a thicker style to where there is a subtle taste of Masa. The flour is LIGHT and I absolutely love that and so does my tummy.

BEANS: The refried beans are a perfect texture & taste just like the pinto beans my maw maw used to make. RIH Maw Maw. The charro beans are so flavorful with chunks of steak. These beans have been cooking all day.

SERVICE: Finally the service is outstanding. The food is always ready when they say and always served with a smile no matter how busy they are.

We catered lunch for 85 people. They were on time, the order was perfect, the food was great, and everything went smoothly. It's such a blessing to have an event go so well and not have to worry about the food. We will cater with them again!

This was our first time ordering from Fajitas Pete. We ordered the fajita trio. The chicken and shrimp was good. The beef was a bit bland. Delivery was quick. Quantity was enough for three adults. The quality could use an adjustment in seasoning.

Ordered a chicken burrito online. Time quoted was fine and the cashier was nice. But got home and after a few bites realized the rice was undercooked a bit. Still edible and I was hungry, got about half way down and then bit into some undercooked chicken. It was still translucent and rubbery. I obviously stopped eating it. I tried to reach out online but couldn’t find a email or contact portal. I’ve been sick since last night. Completely unacceptable to serve undercooked chicken. I have a wedding to attend this weekend and hope I can recover before then. That will be the last dollar you ever get from me.

I want to say that i do love the food “ Pickup Fajitas” at Fajita pete’s! Since inflation food for my family has become selective. i priced out ( with a coupon ) Fajita pete’s vs 3 other well known Mexican restaurants for a larger family father’s day meal. I tried configuring Fajita Pete’s by package, by pound and no matter what i did… FP was $55-79.00 more than the other 3 restaurants. i simply can’t afford you anymore. I hope that you come out with other specials or pop of specials, because you lost a very loyal customer!

First time to order. Grabbed take out, it was delicious. So glad I gave this place a try. We will definitely order again.

Editing my review because I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the portion size. I ordered Fajitas for two. They came in a small sized box and before I opened it I worried about the size. But there was plenty! I fed my giant teen that is trying to gain weight (eats a ton), my 5 yo that loved the chicken and myself plus had some left (the teen destroyed it). The chicken was tender, good sized pieces and just delicious. Thanks Fajita Pete!

Kid-friendliness: My very picky child loved the chicken fajita meat. It wasn’t overly spiced like some places we have tried and he rejected.

Refried beans a bit watery but who cares they’re beans. Everything else was fantastic!!
