Food is amazing! We had mini empanadas, mixed ceviche, mushroom risotto and crispy fish - all delicious. Can't wait for the leftovers. Service was good too. The food was so good it made up for the simple ambiance and lack of view.

Venezuelan food, Pabellón Criollo was good they told me. The patacones, which was my dish, I thought they were more but I was really full, it was one with chicken and one with meat, I liked the meat one better (the same one as in the Pabellón dish), the chicken one was a little salty but still good in seasoning/flavor. The empanadas were chicken and cheese, they were delicious (I liked the chicken one better). Rice and fries, well, too??♀️. The treatment was good and the place was empty ? I don't know why. I went to Cedar Park but I understand there is another one in Pflugerville. #Ivepassed

Los patacones, que era mi plato, pensé que eran más pero realmente me llené, era uno de pollo y uno de carne, el de carne me gustó más (la misma q en el plato del Pabellón), la de pollo estaba un poco salada pero igual buena en sazón/sabor. Las empanadas eran unas de pollo y unas de queso, estaban ricas (me gustó mas la de pollo). El arroz y papas fritas pues también. El servicio fue bueno y el lugar estaba vacío no sé pq. Yo fui a Cedar Park pero entiendo que hay otro en Pflugerville. #Iveaprueba

First - Google maps isn't correct! You'll find Fogonero overlooking the Starbucks on the corner. I was in the area and saw this place with empanadas and arepas so I stopped in to check it out. As it was quiet, I had a chance to talk to the owner. The owner explained that they are Venezuelan, and Arepas and Empanadas are breakfast, so that's where you will find them on the menu. The empanadas were awesome. The outside pastry is corn based instead of wheat and a tad sweeter than those I'm used to having. I took the Pabellon Arepa (shredded beef, black beans, fresh cheese, fried sweet plantain) home and had it for breakfast the next day! So delicious. Cant wait to try this place again.

Wow, we just had an exceptionally good meal at Fogonero. We enjoyed the fresh, high quality ingredients and food cooked to perfection. That salad....avocado and hearts of palm. So good. The steak was to die for.The shocking thing is that they are not busy at all. Service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Was able to eat gluten free easily.
