We ordered the specials, fish and chips and the other was a Mexican dish. Neither one was good enough to remember. The cornbread appetizer was awesome and so was the service.

I'm in Texas for a month for work and have eaten out at a restaurant 8 of the 11 days. Every time it has been at Jack Allen's Kitchen. The food is scrumptious, especially the fresh vegetables. I've had the same server, Kyleigh, 7 times. Kyleigh is absolutely THE BEST server. Jack Allen's Kitchen is a place to try if you want delicious food.

Really reliably tasty fare, lunch or dinner. I like to suggest Jack Allen's for work meetings and lunches because it's a great balance between quality and quasi-relaxed atmosphere. Nit stuffy but also in no way totally laid back: not for flip flops, but you won't feel out of place in your professional attire either.
I suggest going with the daily specials for both drinks and plates. Not small plates by the way- you're going to get an American-sized, larger portion of better-quality food.

Jack Allen's Kitchen: A popular Texas-style eatery known for its fresh, locally sourced ingredients and hearty Southern comfort food. The menu offers a great variety—from smoked brisket and fried chicken to inventive sides like jalapeño cornbread and seasonal veggies. The atmosphere is casual and lively, perfect for family dinners or casual hangouts. Service is generally friendly and efficient. A favorite spot for those craving authentic, flavorful Texan cuisine with a modern twist.

Just had a late lunch cedar park.
Have always said and sent reviews praising food and service there .
Today for the first time the enchiladas I ordered were only lukewarm, making the tortillas in the enchiladas
so tough , they were hard to cut.
Didn’t tell server because she was so nice and good .. talked about her being the popsicle lady in her neighborhood.
She brought us drinks to go and extra chips for the sauce we took home .
But, first time ever, and we eat there a lot , and at all Jack Allen’s got a sub par meal and thought you should know.
And with the price of meals, was disappointed.

It was fantastic! Four of us, all of our plates were really good! It was very busy in there but it was still just as nice as any other time. We all had a good time relaxing there and having a good lunch. The girls that were working there were great also. I'll definitely be going back soon. Also my half pound burger couldn't have been any better.

Visited here recently with my girlfriend. Had a delicious meal. We did not feel overstuffed when we left - which is a very good thing. The food is delicious and the service is top notch.

Cozy spot with great vibes and friendly staff. The food was solid overall, but the blondie pie was absolutely amazing—rich, gooey, and perfectly sweet. I’d go back just for that dessert alone!

Had lunch this week at Jack Allen’s. We go there often, but I usually stick with a couple of favorites. This time I tried the Steak Taco Fundido Skillet. It was disappointing. The supposed beef tenderloin was over cooked and dry, despite the waiter telling me it would be very moist. It just wasn’t good. There was some melted cheese in the skillet, but only enough for 1 and 1/2 of the 3 provided flour tortillas. It was super stringy, difficult to get from skillet to tortilla. Also, it listed escabeche as on the dish. Turns out that was only pickled onion. Why don’t you just say pickled onion? But the worst thing was the supposed star of the dish - the overcooked and dry filet. I guess I’ll just stick to the catfish strips or the grilled trout. Both very good.
