Cedar Park never stops surprising me with its hidden gems, and finding this pizzeria today was exactly what I needed. Their sourdough pizzas are amazing! They offer a great variety of flavors, and the best part is that you can order them by the slice. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. 🍕

Me and my wife love this place. We’ve gone 1 to 2x a week since it opened. Saddens me to see a 4.6. I’ve been in the pie eating business as a consumer for 40plus years and this is the best i’ve ever had. Every bite is the same and it doesn’t bloat you. We love KP.

*response to the owners review*

I had a really disappointing experience here. My friends and I all ordered separately, and one of us tried to order four small pizza slices in two different flavors. There was a misunderstanding and eight small pizzas were ordered instead. These pizzas were already sitting on display and not made to order, so we politely explained that it was a misunderstanding and asked if anything could be done. Keep in mind, the pizza hasnt landed our table yet. Instead of trying to help, the owner came over with a very condescending attitude and immediately shut us down, saying that refunds or fixing mistakes “is not how it works.” The tone alone was enough to make the whole situation uncomfortable. It wasn’t even about the money at that point it was about basic customer service. Comparing the situation to a Mcdonalds and basically telling us “too bad” was honestly shocking for a small business that should care about its customers. A simple solution or even a polite explanation would have gone a long way, but instead we were treated like we were being unreasonable for pointing out a clear misunderstanding. The pizza itself was fine, but the way we were spoken to completely ruined the experience. There are plenty of places in the area with better customer service. I wouldn’t come back.

*Edit and response to the owner*: First of all the owner’s defensive response here reflects the SAME attitude we experienced in person. And to clarify we never blamed the staff. It was simply a misunderstanding. Once we realized the mistake, we politely asked if anything could be done since the pizzas were already on display and NOT made to order. The pizza had NOT came to the table yet! What made the situation frustrating wasn’t the policy, but the rude and condescending tone we were met with, including the comparison to McDonald’s. Also, mentioning that these reviews are from the same group doesn’t change anything we were all there and experienced the same interaction.

Horrible customer service, charging for extra Parmesan cheese and other condiments that are standard everywhere else and they require a $4 minimum on the credit card transactions so you cant even just buy one , the girl in the front is nice but she needs to communicate things and explain a little better , but the owner is rude and rather loose a customer rather than fixing a miscommunication on one order , he was being very rude and defensive saying we messed up and that they can’t do anything about it, making references to McDonald’s customer service in his argument, even McDonalds would have fixed my order, never coming here again for sure, that is not how you grow a small business.

REPLY TO OWNER : Simply not true ,you were not willing to fix the order , there was a miscommunication between your staff and us , the order got misunderstood From the beginning not something we wanted to change after , we asked if we could make changes once we realized you wouldn’t swap the order that was mistakenly ordered , you were unprofessional and not willing to help a customer out when the miscommunication happened in the beginning and we informed your staff before the food even came out.

Man.. where do I start. Sigh. I never leave bad reviews or even reviews at all but I had to on this one. When I was talking to the owner , it felt like I was arguing with my little brother. I explained the misunderstanding that happened between us and the cashier and you better hope there isn’t a misunderstanding because there is no mercy. He said “go to McDonald and order the wrong thing and see what happens”…. Really? we talked to him as polite as possible as I believe respect goes both ways but this didn’t go that way. We had to check him with his attitude because damn. As a small business owner this isn’t how you treat clients. The other reviews I’m reading he is replying saying “go open a pizza business” to a customer, bring back shame. Next time find a solution don’t try to point fingers.

EDIT: you clearly didn’t read the review. You said we didn’t acknowledge the mistake but we told you that we meant to order 4 slices. We didn’t blame anyone , we told you what happen. So.. you didn’t even try to work with us, you pointed fingers. Take accountability and show respect.

I had a very disappointing experience with this pizza place, mainly because of the poor communication and the way the owner treated customers. I reached out with a simple question about my order, expecting a straightforward answer. Instead, the response I received was unnecessarily aggressive.

Been multiple times and despite the terrible customer service (every cashier I’ve encountered has always been rude), waiting eons if I dined in and waited for my slice(s) to be reheated, and the ridiculous up charge for cheese (this I can MAYBE understand) or red pepper flakes (this is deplorable - you’re a pizzeria. Never heard of such behavior. This is like getting charged for ketchup when you order fries.), I’ve gone back because I like the pizza!!! But I’ve noticed the pizza quality has gone way down (flavors are off the last 2 visits, vodka sauce tastes off, slices extra greasy and crust too hard) and that, plus the prices and experience are just such a massive turn off.

We ordered the vodka pesto round and pepperoni square. The vodka pesto was AMAZING! Flavor and texture were on another level! No flop, great bite! The Detroit style pepperoni was also great. The sourdough crust while thick like a traditional Detroit, doesn't feel heavy in your belly. I will DEFINITELY be back! If your a fan of sourdough it a must try!

Pretty solid Detroit pizza!! Cost by the slice was nice for different folks. Have good vegetarian options! Odd you have to pay for chili pepper flakes

I heard this place was pretty good through an Instagram reel and decided to check it out. Big mistake. HUGE. The pizza is ridiculously overpriced, the crust is hard enough to break your teeth, and you have to pay for red pepper and Parmesan, which should be illegal in all 50 states and US territories. The owner seems like a very overworked and overwhelmed, strange man. He needs to chill out and lower the card minimum. There are much better pizza places around here, and at this point I’d rather go to Cici’s (and I HATE cici’s)

Updated my review rating, experience at the time was still a 3-star, but updated to a 4-star after reply - reasoning makes sense. This is based on experience, NOT the food. I'm still itching to try it though.

I went in excited to try the sourdough crust pizza Detroit style as I had read about it and finally had time. Obviously, from the reviews, there are people that can limit what they want on a pizza and they thoroughly enjoyed it, hence the reason I was excited to pop in there today. I went in this afternoon and began to order my pizza from the person taking my order. Needless to say it went downhill from there. After a lot of back-and-forth and question, after question, with every option I asked for being denied, I was very frustrated! I ended up leaving without my two pizzas or anything at all. A simple solution would’ve been offering customization for extra money and everybody would’ve been happy but in this case, there may be a reason for a very rigid menu, but it does not include a bend and amend type of service.

I want to be clear that the staff was polite and just following the rules they’ve been given. This is not a reflection on them.

That said, the ownership has chosen a very rigid ordering structure, especially for thin-crust pizzas. Half-and-half pizzas aren’t allowed, and there’s a strict limit on toppings, even though an extra-topping charge is listed. The policies were confusing and disappointingly, left no room for customer customization.

This is a business decision by the owners to prioritize rigidity over flexible, customer-driven customization. If you’re happy ordering exactly off the menu, this may work for you. If you like designing your own pizza or splitting toppings, this isn’t the place.

There are definitely many pizza places in Austin. I’ve been wanting to try Feral pizza place, but it’s so far South, but I did call them and they are definitely more flexible on the things I like on my pizza so there’s that. Everyone has the choice to eat where they want, that being said this is my review of my experience today at Kizza

Fantastic experience in every way! Stopped by for the first time today to grab a couple slices after visiting the farmer's market next door. Very friendly and efficient counter service. Nice, clean dining area with a great coke/beer selection. We ordered a mushroom slice, a vodka slice, and a beet/fennel salad. The Detroit style pizza is SUPERB, PHENOMENAL: Perfectly chewy and crunchy, with extremely flavorful toppings. Way better than Via 313. The salad, which I ordered on a whim, was one of the best salads I've ever eaten: In addition to golden beets and shaved fennel, it had arugula, citrus slices, fresh herbs, pistachios, tasty cheese, and more (we got the honey mustard vinaigrette and it paired deliciously).

Absolutely loved it, much better food, atmosphere, and service than other pizza places nearby. Can't wait to return!

UPDATE 12/20. Got the exact same thing. Even with sky-high expectations, somehow it was even better this time. One of the few hidden gems of the Cedar Park dining experience. Amazing job to the owners and staff 👏
