Well, it's Valentines Day, and a lot of restaurants are packed, I had been here before and thought, let me see how it's going tonight. Well, they had a few customers and not too packed, a plus for me.I do like the atmosphere here. It's kind of a local place without Norm and Cliff but still a cool place. They were playing Classic Rock with a couple of large TVs showing college basketball. It's not fancy but very functional. The service is good and the food is good too. I ordered fried shrimp and catfish. The portions were large, and they came with fries, which I couldn't eat them all. The breading tasted good, and the fish inside was thick and moist. So I have to say, maybe I was a little lonely emotionally, but my belly would totally disagree. And you know, they really specialize in chicken, not bad, huh?
This is the best fried chicken and service I've ever experienced, our server was Robert! He was quick friendly and funny offered amazing recommendations and made sure we had an amazing time. Lucy's never disappoints! And they have always knocked it out if the park. They have it all, the atmosphere, the service, and the food!
We went tonight at about 6pm for the first time. Our waiter was wearing a daytripper tshirt and was the highlight of the visit! He was friendly and funny we loved it! On to the food, my husbands fried chicken was way over cooked, he did eat it all because he was starving. Honestly we would never order that again, it’s just so dry. My chicken fried steak was pretty good and the mashed potato’s were good as well. For appetizers we ordered the fried pickles and fried deviled eggs. The fried pickles were good but the fried deviled eggs were a little too mushy for me. Drinks were good. My son in law ordered the spicy chicken sandwich he said it was ok, it looked over cooked too I don’t know if the temperature is too high on the fryer or what, maybe was an off day ? Sorry I only took a pic of the chicken fried steak and potatoes.
Making a run to Leander to pick up "Marketplace Finds" and we decided to stop and grab a late lunch Lucy's Fried Chicken in Cedar Park! Holy Cow yall...it was AMAZING and we highly recommend it!! My boys wanted fried chicken ? but I didn't. Here they were able to get the most moist fried chicken ever and I got the most amazing friend chicken spaghetti that I've ever tasted!!! They had really good food for the prices and the service terrific! Everyone was so friendly!! We will definitely be going back next time we're in the area! And bonus points for being right behind Austin Steam Train Association ?
Kid-friendliness: Just a friendly environment period, plus it has nice little outside playground for the kiddos.
Parking: There's tons of parking around it.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, wheelchairs can get in easily and maneuver around the restaurant as well.
We loved the variety, the food, the service and prices. Will be again soon. Highly recommended.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of families with their kids enjoying Lucy's fried ken and the playground in the back.
I was told my a friend that this place had excellent chicken. Not true. Sent my boyfriend there to pick up dinner, upon ordering he asked if it would be fresh and if he had time to sit at the bar and order a drink. He was told yes. Literally 3 minutes later out the order came. Not fresh, ultra salty!! ? Everything was full of salt. Nothing was fresh, $80 for old chicken and salty sides, super disappointed!!! Never again
We had heard so much about this place. We had to try it. The atmosphere is pretty good. The staff was super friendly. The bar has a great variety of drinks. The chicken was not so good. $10.25 for two breast and two wings, no sides included. It tasted like it was cooked for lunch (we ate at 4 pm). It was dry, pretty sure it was microwaved and very small portions. The sides are kind of comical, $4.25 for such small portions. Good thing their employees are so friendly. Thiscis the best thing they have going for them. Sorry, we probably will not be back.
The host who was also our server was super friendly. She was helpful since it was our first time their and made some great suggestions. The place had a pretty great vibe overall. I had the Revival chicken sandwich and was blown away! It definitely took me to church and took my taste buds on a spiritual journey. I had some homemade jalapeño cornbread with TEQUILA butter! It was delicious. They have an outdoor area which we decided to eat but quickly regretted it because of the heat. My wife is allergic to chicken but still went for me, thus the decision to eat outside. We ended up having to take it to go. When I go back again I will probably update to 5 stars but unfortunately I was not able to take in the full experience of eating there. Their desserts are also amazing!
I know many people who love this place so I thought I would try it. I was craving fried chicken, and if you only want fried chicken that you don't have to cook then eat here. But the chicken was bland, the sweet potatoes were clearly from a can, and the mac&cheese was gritty/chalky. I was so disappointed. As a southerner, I have had plenty of fried chicken and this was not good enough for the price I paid. Four pieces of chicken, 2 sides, and a watered down sweet tea were $25 before tip. Eat here if you don't have other alternatives!
Lucy’s Fried Chicken in Cedar Park is a good fried chicken place with huge portions. The fries were good but not a fan of the collard greens or mac n cheese. I liked the fried shrimp as well. There are a few locations if you aren’t up in Cedar Park.

I had not had chicken fried steak in a long time I was craving it on one recent Sunday. I decided to give it a try at Lucy‘s Fried Chicken and it was pretty good. I enjoyed the breading which was crunchy and well prepared, although the steak inside was a little bit on the small side. Came with good mashed potatoes and gravy. Also had ordered some onion rings which were OK.
The fried okra is great! The customer service was cool, he appeared nice, it was the customer base that seemed weirded out by me walking in to pick up a to-go order lol. I don't think many black people patronage this establishment but nevertheless, I'd definitely return for the fried okra alone and I intend to try other items.
Really great chicken sandwich! The Revival was delcious and so were the homemade chips.
Bland food. For somewhere with fried chicken in the name, we were sorely disappointed in what we got. Breading fell off the chicken sandwich too easily. The half of chicken with a creamy sauce came with an unseasoned gravy like substance. Tasted like somebody forgot to add the broth to the gravy. And the Mac n cheese. It was just so sad. No other words to describe the unfortunate bowl of noodles. Our dogs did enjoy the leftovers though.Service was good though! Honestly, it was refreshing to have an awesome waitress.
I hate to say it but honestly Popeyes Chicken has more flavor. The skin was overly greasy and fell off the meat which was a bit tough to chew. The fried deviled eggs tasted like hot hard-boiled eggs with a fried outer shell. There was none of that “deviled” taste. The banana pudding was bland. Basket of chicken (4 piece), deviled eggs, a beer, and the pudding was $36. Staff is friendly but they over hype the menu items which are nothing to write home about. There is a playground outside which the kids will enjoy.
