Made the reservation with OPEN TABLE and it was ok. Seated within five minutes of entering. Got our drinks and ordered in five minutes. All good so far. Then, the wait.... The place wasn't especially busy (about 1/1 full) which seems a bit unusual for Valentines Day. We waited an hour for our food. I ordered the Blackened Oishii Colossal Shrimp fettuccine and my wife had the Nashville Chicken Sliders. My "colossal" shrimp were curled and maybe 1 1/4" long. Clearly a different definition for colossal. It was a good dish with pesto although it must have been sitting at the pass for a while as it wasn't terribly hot. My wife's sliders were another matter. One of the 3 was so toasted black, she had to send it back. They were ok, but hard to eat as they were a chicken strip between two buns - about 3" high. Service was marginal. Waitress never came back to refill our cokes while we waited, but was very efficient in getting our check so we could leave. It is an interesting venue with bowling, 3 pool tables, and 5 golf driving screens.
This place is very concerned with making as much money, off of each and every person that goes there, as possible. We made reservations and when we got there they said we had to play darts to sit in that section. I told them we didnt want to play darts we wanted to play pool instead. They said ok but we're going to CHARGE YOU A $40 CANCELLATION FEE AND YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO PLAY POOL. They were saying that SINCE I WANTED TO SIT IN A DIFFERENT SECTION THEY WOULD COUNT THAT AS A CANCELATION OF MY RESERVATION, EVEN THOUGH I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE. I didnt want to argue so I agreed to pay. To make a reservation here you must put your credit card info online. So they told me they would be charging my card. I told them No I will pay cash. This Female blonde "manager" said no we're charging your credit card. I assume she thought she could just charge my card without my permission. Finally a real manager came over "Jeremiah" and advised they would not charge me. So that would have solved it for me but every 10 minutes the server would come over to ask me for a credit card. I told them I would pay cash and I would even prepay for the food and pool. This was refused by them. However they kept coming over every 10 to 15 minutes to remind us " hey you have 6 minutes left to play. Or hey you have 13 minutes to play, do you want to purchase more time?" I dont mind paying but I dont like being manhandled into giving a card instead of cash. I also dont like the constant hard sales attempts while im trying to have a nice time with a date. The WORST part is they still TOLD OPEN TABLE THAT I WAS A NO SHOW FOR MY RESERVATION. THIS IS DISHONEST and EXTREMELY DUPLICITOUS BUSINESS PRACTICES. Actually, have to correct myself. The worst part was the HORRIBLE ATTITUDE OF THE GIRL WORKING AS HOSTESS ON Sunday the 14th of February at 4:30 and the female blonde "MANAGER" i hope they can find better help in the future. But I will never be there again.
When you book an activity online it only books for one hour- you don't have the option to extend your time. So it took 40 minutes to get our food while we were bowling and then they were asking us to leave before we finished our food. It was not a great experience.
Overall not a bad experience. We went to watch the Super Bowl but the levels in the dining room made it difficult to hear the game. Otherwise, our server was amazing. The food and drinks were good. It was a good value for the money.
My family and I walked in. There were 2 employees at the front desk. We were not acknowledged at all. Waited for 10 mi minutes and nobody came to help until we decided to leave and even then she didn't say anything. Very poor service.

Food was awesome. Waiter at our table was pretty good. Forgot a couple things but checked on us alot. The waitress we had for the dart area was non existent. We had to get different managers a cooked times just to get drinks and it wasn't that busy for a Friday

This place! Whew! Love ❤️. The food was real fill you with mmmm mmmmm yummy feelings. The fact that you can eat and then go bowling or play pool or darts in a beautiful, clean and very nicely appointed space is THE bonus. I was also happy they had good parking for Friday night crowds

We just came in for a drink to check it out. Feels like a pretty fun atmosphere. We haven’t played any of the games yet, but it looks like they have a good selection of pool, darts, bowling, and virtual golf.
Service at the bar was a bit lackluster. Not a friendly vibe. Dirty dishes, piled up from the previous patrons and not cleaned up in a timely manner.
I don’t think I would come back just to have a drink or food, but we might try some of the games in the future.

UPDATE:
Decided to try again after an early Sunday hockey game tonight. The posted hours say the restaurant closes at 9:00 and the kitchen closes 30 minutes before closing time. We were turned away at 7:58 after being told the kitchen closed in 10 minutes and that all wait staff was being taken up by the games. Aside from not aligning with what you literally have posted on your window, you are missing a big opportunity to cater to post-game diners during the hockey season. I'm done trying to patronize Spare Birdie, which is a shame because we've enjoyed the food. It's hard to enjoy the food, though, when we get turned away well within kitchen hours.

We normally have a great experience, but tonight was not so. Posted closing time is 11:00. We arrived at 10:15 after a Texas Stars game (which, Spare Birdie is hailed as the after party for the Texas Stars) to celebrate an overtime playoff win and were turned away (at 10:15) because the kitchen was already closed! I could understand if it was 10:45, but 10:15??? We always enjoy the food here, but this was really upsetting after an exciting night of hockey. Either close at 10 or don't advertise yourself as the after party location for hockey games that end between 9:30 and 10:30.

Waiter was never available, kitchen ran out of fries for all our meals and still charged us. Never saw a manager. Really disappointed. Always had a great time - Will never go back! Bad service and bad management is just not acceptable. Worst experience for a birthday party.
Sitting here waiting for a my bowling reservation that I was second in line for and they have sat four other groups before us.. makes no sense why use a reservation system if you don't get placed in the order your reservation was placed.
