This was a good Mexican experience. I ordered a chimichanga and my wife ordered a shrimp taco set. The waitress was really nice and kept filling our chips and dip up. Super cool. The food was cooked well and had a nice flavor. The restaurant wasn’t too busy for Saturday and I felt the environment was quite warm and receptive. The chips and dip was nice, a corn chip with a salsa not too spicy.

Even during the busy lunch rush, this place runs like a well-oiled machine! The staff was friendly, efficient, and on top of everything. The food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor—definitely some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. First time eating at restaurant. Staff were excellent, friendly, attentive. Food was very delicious, just right temperature, well presented. Flavor of charro beans was the best I've tasted to date. It was a little dark for me, otherwise a nice atmosphere. Ambient sound not loud, it was easy to hear the conversation at our booth/table, and not hear the neighboring booths conversations.

The food wasn't good it was the texican't cafe and I won't ever be back the enchiladas aren't good .my mom and had two different enchiladas and they both did not taste good and we won't be back the waiter was nice and respectful the food wasn't good never again we won't be back

If you want a location with a beach view, this would be it! They have good mixed drinks in large variety of beer and an amazing deck to overview the beach. This place has good food, it was just cold when it was brought out to us. This place can also get very busy our waiter seem to have a lot of tables so it took a little bit for him to come and check on us... If you're at the North shore you have to check this out to try out the awesome mixed drinks 😉

I Love Love LOVE The Texican Cafe. I love their super crunchy light chips, their EVERYTHING is the best thing! The one thing I use to JUDGE all Mexican restaurants is their Tortilla Soup! And The Texicans tortilla soup has had us make trips from Bastrop to the Texican JUST FOR SOUP!!! Oh hey please bring back the blue corn Tortilla Soup or at least make it an off menu item. Regardless my family and I have been Super Fans for more than I think 25 years!!!

I ordered the tacos al carbon and they were different than the same dish I've gotten elsewhere. Normally, I'm used to seeing bite sized chunks of meat and this was more like larger pieces of steak with a tortilla around it. I had to cut the meat into bite sized pieces so I couldn't eat it like a taco. That said, the steak was perfectly cooked with a little pink on the inside. The rice and beans are standard fare. We liked our server.
