Armenta's Mexican Restaurant

We love their food and our family have been customer's of their restaurant since the very early 1980's about 1983 or 1984. David started out in Cloverleaf on Barbara Mae him and his family have become like family with my parents who are no longer with us. Their food makes us feel like we are home having lunch or dinner with family. David and his son who is now there more than his father will always check on us as will David if he is there and make sure everyone is taken care of while there.

Wife had sampler platter - it was awesome - cooks really know how to do it.
I had carne guisada tacos. So, this is not a dish or taco I quarrel about due to the nature of my upbringing. They had great flavor! Reminded me of back home with the warm tortillas and the gravy from the carne guisada. Definitely will return and definitely will try something else. Cannot recommend enough. The atmosphere is very light and friendly and it does give a bit of a family feel. Only drawback, the bartender wasn't aware Makers Mark was a bourbon so I had to pick something else i didnt really want but was still good.

three visits, three bad experiences! waiters don't know menu, brought me wrong items, tres leches cake was way too old, and had to spit it out, manager reluctantly took it off ticket. definitely won't go back or recommend it

Took my family and we all loved it!! The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was amazing! We had Ethan as our server, who was super kind and attentive! We shared the sample platter and some fajitas and everyone absolutely loved it! Overall 10/10 recommend!!

So, earlier today, we swung by this spot for dinner to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday — fun times all around!

From the moment we walked in, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Our server (whose name we didn’t catch, but he was awesome) was really helpful.

The food? Totally delicious. My wife was obsessed with her salad, especially the dressing. My 11-year-old was all about those street tacos (so was I — yum!). The little one loved his bean and cheese burrito. The in-laws, who’ve been here before, were super happy with their meals too.

Plus, the vibe of the place is just really cool. And get this — they’ve got a free ice cream machine. Yes, ice cream on the house!

We’ll definitely be back for more good times!

Ordered online & was misled to thinking I would get rice & beans because it's still on the menu. My tamale fell apart & tasted old. Was very disappointed in my order which was over $30

The food could be so much tastier and flavorful. More cheese could be used (4 slivers of cheese on my plate), taco shells taste like they came out of the box (cold and hard), maybe a tablespoon of refried beans on my plate (thick and cold). The tea was the best thing. My first visit I had to ask for my plate to be heated and more cheese. We went a 2nd time and it will be my last. Maybe they need a new cook and better servers. We rarely saw a wait person. Had to ask for tea several times.
