Arrived at 8:59 on a Monday night. Sign on door says open until 10. Two guys were playing pool while bartender looked on. Doors are locked and the bartender pretends he doesn't see us at the doors. Don't waste your time here.

Traveling through town without a lot of options. This was like eating at grandmas house not for the vibe but for the quality of food. The local high school game was on the radio TVs going they poor a great drink the husband wanted a shot and they took the time to chill it when it was certainly busy. They went out of their way to provide quality service and food. The gravy was amazing we had the hamburger steak with gravy and ribeye with mushrooms and gravy. We ate it all left a small bite for our pup as a treat. We will definitely stop by here againMost importantly we had been in Tyler earlier in the day and had eaten top rated BBQ some of the best we’ve ever tasted so we thought we were done for good food for the day at least rained in opinion but nope this was good too!!

We are Canadians on a trip down south and stopped there late for beers and burgers. We were served by the lady who owns the place and what a kind and pleasant person she was! She seemed like she has lots on her plate as she manages the motel as well, but even though we arrived near the close she took time to chat with us and with a friendly smile on her face. The food was delicious, great cook and super affordable. The generous portions made us remember that we are in America now. Would strongly recommend.

This is one of the few places we will go in and eat locally. The food, service, and drinks are always good! This is the only place I will get fried catfish.
Stopped here on my way up to Denver from Johnson City. I had the Chicken Fried Steak while my Dad had a Cheese Burger. We both thought it was pretty good; I especially liked the atmosphere. It’s pretty clean and well taken care of. Service was great too; food came out pretty quick although granted it wasn’t super busy since we came on a Thursday night. Never know when I’ll ever be back in town but if so, I’ll be sure to stop by again.
Stopped here as we were passing thru North Texas. We were delighted to find clean restrooms, Quiet dining area, excellent service (by the owner herself) and Fabulous Food! The burger was char broiled mouth watering yumminess. The fries were a hand cut perfectly fried masterpiece. Order the catfish because it is 'large and in charge' according to my dinner companion. Don't forget that Southern Staple of Fried Okra to round out a meal of Greatness in small town Childress, TX !
