Restaurantji's Childress Mexican restaurant picks are here.
“We just stopped in town for the night. The food was hot & fresh. We both had a couple of Bahama Mama's, which we enjoyed. Service was done with a smile and prompt. If we pass back through here. We will definitely have dinner at the Plaza Mexican restaurant.“
“We broke down in Childress for a couple days and ate at a few places (including the Plaza Mex.) and this was our favorite. I asked the owner/manager (?) what he recommended and we went with a chimichanga w/ chicken and carne guisada. Both were good, well seasoned, flavorful. Place also has nice staff, courteous. I read some of the reviews and my advice is ask what's good today. It's a mom and pop stop which can fluctuate on consistency of dishes but will also know what's best that day.“
“Order a number 5. A crunchy taco, nacho Bell grande with three extra nacho cheese sauce on the side. Everything was yum delicious hot and fresh. Staff was friendly and right on point with my other. The tables and all etc. were clean/ well kept.“
“Solid breakfast burrito joint, fast service, simple menu. The homemade tortillas are the star of the show, in my humble opinion. I didn't love the green or red chile that they put inside or on the side of their burritos, but to be quite honest, the burrito filling is so tasty, you don't really need it. The cafe is nice and clean and updated, so it's a very comfortable place to eat in. I'd definitely go back!“
