Wheat's Artisan Bakery and Pizzeria

So disappointing! I stopped in at 11:30 am and asked about the hand pies and ordered a coffee and got a blank stare like I was talking in a foreign language. They said they didn't start the coffee yet... Really its almost noon and they haven't started the coffee yet, what kind of bakery is this! Then they couldn't explain what a hand pie was, so I just ordered an Apple one to try it... again I got the blank stare, then said they were out of the apple so I asked for a raspberry, they were out of that one too - Why don't you just tell me what you do have. So frustrating!!! Don't waste your time, they don't know what they are doing there.

Delicious pizza cooked right in front of you, and the hand pies are DELICIOUS

Probably the best pizza i’ve had, EVER!!! we will most definitely be back! The ladies working were amazing, the cook was phenomenal just a good place to be & eat at.

Stopped here for dinner while on a work trip and the staff is super sweet and the pizza was amazing. Nice, cozy spot to have a nice dinner

I had an excellent experience at Wheat's. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and my pizza was excellent. I was especially impressed with the crust. Well worth a visit.

If you find yourself on Hwy 287 in Childress, TX, stop by Wheat's Artesian Bakery for some fantastic brick oven pizza or a sandwich. We also tried their hand pie and cookies, all made in house and delicious! Fantastic atmosphere and excellent service. Excellent experience, we'll definitely be going back!!

Just bought a hand pie as they werent making sandwiches on a Saturday.. Not flaky ; just heavy and doughy . not what i hoped for on our road trip

Good food but do not bring your dog here. We picked this place because we saw that they had a nice patio but they do not allow dogs even outside
