Celebrated a retirement dinner recently, and was disappointed with the food and final bill. Let me explain. I ordered 2 lemon drop martinis and at the end of the night my bill had the charge of two drinks which came to $28. The kicker is there was an added $10 below the drink charge, i asked the waitress and she told me that there is a $5 service charge to make each drink.....excuse me...she told me there was nothing that could be done. When did we start paying the bartender to make drinks. Also i ordered a wedge salad, i got flat iceberg lettuce on a plate with 2 cut cherry tomatoes, a sliver of red onion, some crackeling that was supposed to be bacon and two slivers of some cheese.....not worth the $9 nor was it a classic wedge salad. Also they charged our party 22% gratuity, when did that happen. The only good thing about this place was the french fries. Will never be going back.

LOVE this restaurant! There is a sign upon entry letting you know that the food is made fresh. It’s a local business and the owner runs the place with his spouse and they work well together. He was a prior Air Force pilot. They do a trivia night that was one of the classiest that I’ve attended.
I sat at the bar and the bartenders are friendly and highly experienced. I ate paella and the seafood was cooked to perfection and not too fishy. It had saffron in it too and I still think about it was that good. I had frites for an appetizer and they are not your everyday French fry. They’re so much better.

I have eaten here a couple times now and have never been disappointed. I've had the salmon, Trout and this latest grilled chicken omelet. Great staff and friendly service. Desserts are awesome - chocolate cheesecake is ti die for.

The food was excellent, and service was very attentive. The only complaint that I have would be the water they served had a weird taste almost like well water. Maybe use filtered water? Other than that we will definitely return.

The food is amazing! It can be a bit pricey but generally worth it if you got the time. Roxanne was fantastic at the tables, and I had the chance to meet with Naisa - both were amazing and I’d definitely be back. Jackie seemed a little overbearing. I think she’s the boss? I didn’t like the way she was approaching certain employees, but if she’s not around then I’m eating!
As always our food was exceptional and the service from Drake was on point. We met the owners on this trip and they were every kind. My wife had the trout,and I had the pork, both were fantastic!

It had been a while since we frequented Mako’s On the Grill. So happy we dined there again. Our server was fantastic as was everyone else we met. Our entrees were equally fantastic - must try the scallops and the paella! And the chocolate cheesecake with blueberries? No words!! (It was great, and perfect for sharing). Mako's is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious. Service is always great. And it has really nice ambiance - high ceilings, uncrowded tables, etc. Highly recommended. Last night, we had the mussels, ribeye, and paella (not pictured) along with an Old Sampson and a Pomegranate Martini.
