1/18/26 Came at 9:15, lobby is closed when they opened at 9AM. I am the ONLY customer here and the lady tells me I can’t sit at the drive through window to wait for my food, I have to pull up to the door so she can bring it to me. That means “I’m not going to have your food ready for another 20 minutes.” Going to post this after I see how long it takes the food to come with me being the ONLY customer. Mind you, this was an order ahead so she had it at 9AM. Lazy lazy lazy. I waited 20 minutes.

Burger was raw, fries tasted like old grease. Spent $25 and we had to go somewhere else to eat. Went through the drive thru and was too fast to go back. Bad day at Wendy's

My spouse visited the Wendy’s in Clear Lake Shores on Sunday, December 7, 2025, between 6:00–6:30 PM and ordered three Biggie Bags (each with a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, fries, nuggets), plus four drinks—three Oreo Brownie Frosties and one chocolate Frosty. The order was incomplete, missing one Frosty, but the oversight was corrected at the drive-through window before my spouse left.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there.

When we sat down to eat at home, I took the first bite of my chocolate Frosty and immediately felt a long, light-colored hair—what I referred to as “blonde”—on my tongue and stuck to my teeth. We attempted to call the restaurant to report the issue, but the call was hung up on after the first ring. We tried again with the same result.

I drove to Wendy’s to return the drink at about 6:45 PM. When I entered, I saw a man sweeping the dining area. I called the store twice more from inside, and both times, the call was hung up on after a single ring. The man sweeping stopped and asked if he could help me. I asked if he was working alone; he said that others were in the back. We walked to the counter, and I showed him the hair. He apologized and offered to replace the item. I declined the replacement and instead asked if they could provide a coupon for my family.

At that point, two other male employees came from the back—one tall with a hat, and the other shorter, wearing a winter cap with a small patch of facial hair on his lip. I explained the phone situation and the issue with the hair. The tall employee suggested the hair could have been mine since I “have blond hair.” While I could have explained the differences in texture, given that I am growing out my natural grey, it was clear that continuing the discussion wouldn’t be productive. I simply replied, “You’re right. It could be mine. Sure.”

As I tried to finish my point—explaining that I am a law-abiding citizen who contributes to the community—the tall employee cut me off by saying, “I do, too.” I asked if he fostered or adopted, since those were the examples I had given. He replied, “No, I pay my bills,” then told me, “You can leave,” and walked away.

As I returned to my car, I noticed the first employee—the one who had been sweeping earlier—now holding his phone in a way that suggested he was taking my picture. This was upsetting. I had been firm, but calm: no yelling, no threats, and I never recorded them. I went back inside to firmly, no questions asked, state that he did not have my permission to take my picture or record me; he was already walking and disappearing in the back. At that point, the only employee out front was the shorter man with the winter cap. He told me, “Leave, or I’m calling the cops.” I told him he was free to call. As I was leaving, a female employe appeared from the back during this time; she seemed indifferent and unbothered.

The entire experience was unprofessional from beginning to end. My spouse already checks orders before leaving due to frequent mistakes at this location, but customers should not have to deal with dismissive attitudes, accusations, inappropriate behavior, or threats when raising concerns about a paid-for order. The actions taken by the staff—ignoring phone calls, dismissing a legitimate health issue, implying blame, appearing to photograph a customer without permission, and threatening law enforcement—do not align with Wendy’s mission or its customer service standards.

We will not return to this location.

Im not sure what was going at Wendy’s on 12/7/25, but when I ordered I was charged for the items in my combo separately… I was missing a burger and potato… I asked for a refund so I could redo it and was told i had to come talk to Gm tomorrow morning… now being that I have worked in food service for 20+ years I have NEVER seen a time where a customer was turned away from getting a refund and being asked to come see a Gm the next day… this is the 1st issue I’ve ever had at this location and it’s a big one… I hope the Gm can fix the problem or I’ll start driving the extra couple of minutes to league city parkway

girl on the speaker needs to watch her tone, i don’t think she was trying to be rude but it definitely came off that way. you’d think being the only person in line you’d get fresh food, but nope. my fries were hard as a rock and just about cold. at least the soda was good 🤷🏼‍♀️

Was starving so decided to get Wendy's for lunch, the hamburger patty wasn't cooked thoroughly, really disappointing. Especially since the combo was over $11 just to be grossed out

Worse service ever and to top it off, our order was missing two items that we paid for. Got all the way home to realize they didn’t include our items. Called numerous times to let them know and they never answered the phone. Check your order before you leave the restaurant.

Please our order at 8:17. It was 8:55 when we finally received part of the order. When I stood by the counter, they asked “can I help you? I said I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes. They move like sloths. Last sandwich came out at 8:59 and still forgot my fries. It was not a busy night at all. 1 other person in the dinning area.

Went there because we’ve noticed they hardly have any business! I go by them every day and night, so we asked if they could make us root beer floats, they did and they were great! We were so pleased we went back the next day, only this time Karen said no! We will not make the root beer floats! We actually were going to order chicken sandwiches as well, I said to her they made us these yesterday but she said no! Considering the fact you people arent getting any business at your store, you’d think it wouldn’t be a problem! Kinda like a hamburger with no pickles, no ketchup! The fact you can do it! I woulda paid whatever! So. We left and will never come back! Sonic had them! And their chicken sandwiches were tasty! Good luck Wendy’s on your empty location!

The young Hispanic girl who works there has the personality of a wet mop. She won’t even say, “hello, what can I get for you?”… just stares at you and acts like being nice hurts. Zero customer service here. Go where your business is appreciated, not here.

It appears this place is run by terrible management and lackluster employees that are either unaware or at every attempt trying to disappoint you one way or the other. Drive thru employees might ask you repeated questions and have a hard time comprehending basic logic in their very own products, letting you do the mental work to clarify and correct their errors. Their French fries are often cold and stale, tasteless and void of any inspiration. The quality and whatever intentions the franchise owner hoped for has been left in a wretched state and is not even worth anyone’s time or money. McDonald’s would better suffice or even the local Dairy Queen. The manager that runs this establishment seems to be running a doomed campaign of cold food and slimy frostys, and shows no sense of customer service. She serves no inspiration for the employees that often trail behind her falsehoods of calling this place a Wendy’s. Whatever this is a sham. I would strongly urge others to avoid this location at all costs. There are better alternatives that offer a better experience. This place feels like a reinforced bad decision and a reverberation of regrets and disappointment. Wendy’s of Kemah, do better. Re-evaluate your management and raise your standards of quality and service. There’s a reason why you hardly see cars parked at this establishment, and when you do you wish you could warn them.

We stopped in for the frosties. But when we entered the store, we could feel that the AC was not working. We did get our frosties and they were quite tasty and the service was fantastic. Employees were upbeat. When we asked how long the AC had been out, we were told that it'd been out about 2 weeks and the employees weren't sure when it would be fixed. This is a franchise. I hope someone in upper management or the franchise owner reads this. It is unconscionable that the employees have to work in this heat. There was one portable AC unit plugged in the far side of the dining room. For all the good it was doing, they should have just put it outside.
