We stopped in Clifton, TX. to get gas. One of the locals said Bunkhouse BBQ was under new ownership and back into the original family. Let me tell you this is some damn good BBQ. We had the sausage, brisket (lean), turkey, and ribs. Sausage was great, brisket was nice and tender with good smoke and flavor (no sauce needed), turkey breast had nice and smoky taste and very juicy, ribs were on point (nice tasting glaze). Driving through town headed to Lubbock stop by the Bunkhouse BBQ the food was fabulous The brisket was so tender it was falling apart in your hand You couldn't even pick it up to eat it You had to eat it with a spoon the pulled pork was soft and tender, sausage was awesome and all the sides were great! recommend stopping here to have your food hot and ready. We'll stop again.
Great food, and definitely get your moneys worth! Bbq sauce was different from all others I’ve had but was very good.
