I’m not sure why there is a recent bad review on google, but please take those with a grain of salt. Sofia’s has been our go-to for YEARS, and I am not even a San Elizario native. Sofia is always here and when you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and welcome from her, her daughter Nancy, and the comforting home-town atmosphere. I always feel like I’m inside a huge family dining room. My go-to is the Plato Mexicana and it never disappoints. Their burritos, flautas, burgers, enchiladas, and breakfast items are also really good. These are just our normal orders but everything is phenomenal. Love that they also bring you chips and salsa with a cup of whatever caldo they have that day (menudo, Fideo, posole, etc.). Will forever be loyal customers here, and you won’t regret if you are too.
Clean truck stop, good Mexican food, nice music inside

Delicious Mexican food ..very clean environment
The menudo is really good!!
Not the same place anymore. No longer Nana's Cocina Mexican Restaurant. Tortillas weren't very good, store bought. Not coming back
They close at 7, not 8
the atmosphere and decore is very nice , spacious and clean. I recommend you to indulge on your breakfast favorites even if it's only coffee and pancakes.
We ordered the shrimp salad and the steak fajitas. Both meals were very large portions and had good flavor. The service was good. The only 2 problems we were watching a game, which we asked about when we came in, so they knew we were watching it, and they turned it to a different game after a little while. They have us out bill which was $30+ but when it came to sign the credit card receipt I was glad I looked because it was $90+. They said they fixed it, but just seemed like an odd error.
My wife and I walk into the restaurant/diner. Nobody is up front to meet or seat us. We end up meandering through the place looking for a clean table. Finally a gentleman gets up and offers us his table, exclaiming that he has been waiting patiently for his check and wants to go. Our waitress finally shows up and seems friendly enough. We order drinks and then food. Our gin and tonics are just okay, would have wanted a beer but very limited options. We ordered the chicken steak, a burger, and salad. Food takes a REAL LONG TIME to finally come out. The burger is cooked well but nothing special. My wife's chicken steak has nice flavor. The baked potato is delicious but the sour cream costs extra! All in all everything was okay but nothing special. We only stopped here because it was right outside our hotel and didn't require driving after we had already been in the car for 6 hours.

Nice small place
Had a group meeting and meal in the back room. No door a little loud but it was an informal meeting. Service was good. Staff was friendly. Chile Verde is very spicy.
Waitress works like a one woman show and yet she has good helpers, too! All functions like a well oiled wheel. All friendly and efficient!! Food - we ordered a relleno and the sirloin steak tacos. Both were excellent. The sirloin steak tacos were served with a baked potato. Wonderful way to have steak and potato. The relleno was stuffed with the good cheese, batter fried, and wrapped in a tortilla with refried beans between it and the relleno. Wonderful!!
We stopped on the east side of El Paso for the night, few selections available for dinner, Mamacita's was next door and we were tired. We were very pleased with it. The place was clean and well maintained, appeared to have a lot of locals there. The service was good and the food was very good, the flautes were super and very inexpensive, the chef's salad was large and fresh. Chips and salsa were on the table as soon as we sat down.
Passing by El Paso Texas got off ext42 to fuel and picked up some food from Nana's Cocina OMG !! Truly recommend there Nana's Burgers to die for .
