Don't waste your time, they used to be at the top but they let themselves fall all the way down, HEB definitely has more love in the sushi

They have new ownership and have done an excellent job! The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is excellent, and the owner was a pleasure to talk to. Love this place.

I ordered thru Uber Eats. After 45 min, Blu Fin decided they are “too busy.” Really? Done with them!

New owners = chaos.
The menus are new after the ownership change, and it’s really unclear what they are offering. For example, they flagged every single item on the menu as being raw or undercooked—including tempura (fried food). They desperately need new menus!
The wait staff are new as well, and they can’t answer questions. They aren’t really sure what food is being served.
It was a very frustrating dining experience.
The food prices seemed twice as high as my previous visit and twice as high as other similar restaurants.
I hope this business is just going through a rough patch after the transition to new owners.

Completely changed their menu, got rid of their lunch specials and don't serve alcohol anymore. Used to be a favorite spot of ours, but had to find a new place.
What a tragedy. The food has changed, and I’m afraid it’s not for the better. For 3 of us to eat 2 rolls, gyoza, and 3 funky smelling waters, it was $55 after tip. I would have rather eaten at McDonalds. The rolls from HEB and Kroger are better than this. The gyoza was cold on the outside and warm on the inside. The rolls were gritty. I asked for extra side plates and they brought 2 for 3 of us. They have pretzels on the table in disgusting glasses that I’m sure are filled with all kinds of spit and germs. Just a huge disappointment all around.

Under new ownership, not worth your time. This is the place my girlfriend and I had our first date, I’ve probably been here 40+ times over the last couple years. The old manager, Julio, was the best in the business. Easily the nicest, most accommodating, chill guy I’ve ever had serve me at a restaurant before. It used to be the best sushi you could get in this town, the lunch special was a great deal and all the prices were extremely fair. Drinks were delicious. Now under the new ownership it’s completely had its heart and soul ripped out of it, the rolls are outrageously expensive and the spirit has left. Julio ran the place perfectly and you could tell through the food, service, and atmosphere. The staff were always welcoming and you felt at home when you ate there. As sad as it is to see it go, I don’t think Blufin will be around much longer, I’m just glad I got to experience it at its best.

I used to love Blue Fin!! It was the best, favorite place to eat sushi and recommend it to everyone, but since the new owners took over it’s gone down hill! Food is a 6/10 when it used to be 9/10, Service a 3/10 when it was 9/10 and the atmosphere at best a 1/10 when it was a 10/10 but should be zero! I give the restaurant at least 5-6 more months before the new owners run it to the ground.
We also ordered 5 rolls 2 tempura rolls, 2 California rolls and 1 spider rolls and we waited over an hour to get them when before we waited at most 15 min.
Also love the typos in the Menu! The Gyoza with Chechen (a Russian Separatist) was my personal favorite or the Mizo soup with or whiteout tofu was also good
Also 30 min after getting home from eating at Blue Fin my mother had an allergic reaction to the low quality food that the new owners have lucky for us it was not serious but a place she’s eaten a million times and loves that never gave her issues is now giving her an allergic reaction!
I hope the new owners read my review and go back to the old way otherwise College Station will lose another great restaurant.

Update: edited review to reduce length. DON'T GO HERE. Changed ownership at start of year. Was served tremendously awful food after a nearly hour long wait, and the salmon sashimi was not thawed out, resulting in a mouthful of ice (which leaves me with major reservations about food safety at this establishment). Owner deliberately chooses not to return phone calls, not even for an apology, and is also posting responses to reviews with a very likely false name. Multiple indications of open beratement of staff in other reviews. I give this place two months at most to exist. You're better off with gas station sushi, and that is not a joke. It's better and cheaper, and it's actually thawed out all the way, lol. Nice new AI-generated slop logo too. Couldn't even get the spelling right.

I am a long-time lover of Blue fin Sushi Fusion. While I have tried a number of their dishes, I fell in love with the Blue Fin Special Roll, and I continue to order it regularly. Lately, with new ownership and a new, sparkly menu, I see quite a few additional items that are tempting. I come for a late lunch, and the owner makes heavenly green tea to accompany my meal. The new decor is creative and bright. The food combinations are so varied that they will please all who come! Most important is the high quality of the seafood and the expert preparation of complex dishes.

Everything was great! Gave us complementary apple cider for Valentine’s Day !! Food was so tasty, definitely will be back when I return to college station. My husband and I loved it, the spicy edamame was the best! I had the ATM Roll and he had the Texas Roll both were amazing.

I ordered online and the website must have glitched which isnt an issue I didnt mind waiting, was more excited my food was going to be fresh. The sushi was inedible. I ordered the Shaggy dog roll and typically they have more than just fried shrimp (cucumbers avocado cream cheese) but none of that was there. Also something in the roll itself was sour. Like a bad sour. Nothing tasted fresh. Pretty disappointing from a place that was highly reccomended.

Drove in from Houston to have dinner with my daughter and her bf. She insisted Blu Fin bc of their good food and fun yummy drinks. She had been there a few times prior and raved of the food, service, prices and fun drinks! We get there...and here's all the things that went wrong:
They no longer serve alcohol, which was the main reason we choose to go there. So we ordered the flavored tea, but they no longer serve that. We love spicy, so daughter and I both ordered spicy rolls...blu fin special and whoop roll...but they ran out of jalapenos. The sushi rolls were not bad, but nothing really special. Dragon balls were oddly cold. My husband's soup and salad to start was forgotten and came at the end of the meal. They seemed unorganized. Definitely not worth the cost. We spent over $100 for a not so great experience.
Positives: The staff was very friendly and attentive. I feel like they did their best to accommodate the few patrons they had. They also took special care ensuring daughter's bf's dietary needs were met.
Unfortunately, I would not go there again. We were all, overall, disappointed. They did indicate they were under new management. I am in the hospitality industry and there's much improvement needed. It can be a very special place again.
