Brazos-Texas local kitchen is a true Texas experience. Locatel next to Kyla field, in a hotel, one can breathe Aggie Spirit in a peaceful, sophisticated dining room. Staff very profesional and friendly. The menú offers a basic selection of beef, fish, chicken and vegetarían plates at a Texas sized price. The huge salad was fresh but mundane. The steak was prepared to perfection. For those looking for a special occasion restaurant, this one will impress.
A recipe card would have been nice for the whiskey making class. Also actually making a drink would have been helpful. We sighed up for 4 drinks and they only demonstrated 3. We went to the restaurant and they were slow, brought the wrong food to our table and then took it away and gave it to another table. Just overall felt like it could have been handled better
For the price we paid, it was NOT worth it. The food was cold, had to consistently ask the employees to restock the food so we could have some. We will not be going back next year.
Food was delicious! Ribeye steak was completed to perfection! Food did take long to prepare but service and drinks and our family company kept us entertained! Come and take it cocktail was refreshing.
We enjoyed ourselves. The food was hot and fresh. The charcuterie board was beautiful and the service was on point. Very clean restaurant as well.
The service was so slow. We went there for lunch and ended up being there almost 2 hours. There was only three tables so no reason why we couldn't get drink refills and food in a reasonable amount of time.
We have been attending Easter/Mother's Day here for four years. Today was the best yet. The wait staff is fully attentive (this has improved dramatically since our first visit), the buffet was laid out perfectly, and the food was excellent. The prime rib was exceptional this year!
The good was excellent. We ordered spicy tuna tacos, salmon, and the butcher board. I definitely recommend the Come and Take It and West Texas Sunset cocktails as well. Our server, Dario, couldn't have been better and really made us feel welcome during our meal.
No exagérations I had arguably one of the best, most tasty and juicy, perfectly cooked ribeye of my life. Yukon Mashed potatoes were just at the same level. Dario's assistance was exceptional from the courteous welcome to facilitating my beer choice with multiple sampling to a very entertaining conversation. A special gift was restaurant was almost empty and that helped to make it even more special. I would give 6 stars if I could.
Great little gem, right in the heart of Aggieland, located in the Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center. Sourced local from farms and ranches for the best steak and ingredients. Specialty and seasonal cocktails and desserts were a lovely surprise!

Food was really good but server was not. Server hardly check on us after food was served. He did not refill water not even after asked. Manager check in so asked for water and to check out. Had to get up to tell Server we need to get checked out to go to a function which he was aware for when seated. Still took a long time to check out. Had to go to Hostess informing her about time constraint and waiting on payment change. She located Server who couldn't find change for cash payment ($25 due) and had to use credit card. They were not busy nor looked to be short staffed. Disappointing.
Service was great, we loved our waiter. Food was not up to par. We are not the type of people to splurge like this, we can't even afford a room at the hotel, but it was a special occasion. Steak was way over salted, chicken thighs tasted like they were reheated, soup was good but had definitely been sitting out, and veggies were charred & did not taste well at all... we asked for to-go boxes so the leftover meat could go to our dogs, but did not even feel comfortable serving it to them.
It was an overall terrible experience. We were sat on time and ordered shortly thereafter and it took almost an hour for our entrees to be served. At about (45) minutes into dinner we looked around and none of the (8) tables had food except for salads. The table beside had been waiting an hour and (15) minutes. The bill was over $400 (not including drinks which we had to get from the bar), the food was mediocre and the wait was terrible. One saving grace was the manager, Paige, and a few of the younger staff that tried very hard but they had no support from the kitchen. We even tried to get deserts to go but the kitchen lost the order so we just left after paying. How a hotel/conference center restaurant could perform so poorly before a huge football game is unfathomable.
Waited an hour and a half to receive cold food; service was subpar but that's because of lack of staffing.
Wonderful Thanksgiving experience when our family wasn't able to be with extended family or cook in a manner representative of our own traditions... Great food, and even better service! (Thank you, Dario!)
