Made reservations and were closed when we arrived for brunch. Called restaurant number and was told they were open.
Our waitress did not tell us some menu options weren't available until after I tried to order. That should have been told upfront. It was graduation day and I feel like the restaurant should have been more prepared to be able to serve all menu items. My steak sandwich tasted fine, but the steak itself was room temperature at best. Ambiance and decor were very nice.
Loved it. The Santa and the work shop were wonderful. Thank you for hosting the breakfast with Santa. We will be looking forward to returning next year.
We went for the Thanksgiving lunch/dinner. Clean and quiet restaurant. Price was reasonable. Food was served family style so plenty of food. Food tasted good - but the experience was dampened by the fact that the food wasn't warm enough and the rolls were very dry/hard and the deserts were store bought instead of made in-house. Wine selection was limited but we found a good wine.
Our family loved our Thanksgiving gathering at the Brazos-Proper Texas Kitchen! The food was the best/outstanding and the dessert bar was fabulous. Everyone was very happy with our decision, and we are hoping that they decide to have a Christmas luncheon this year. If they do, we will be there! I highly recommend, and we plan to attend again next year! Thank you! Service was excellent, and I cannot say enough for the entire experience!
Food was great, service was terrible. Could not get water refills, food, silverware - took over 2 hours and my husband taking over and refilling water himself. Server was friendly and food was good, but took way too long and we were all tired, hungry and thirsty!
The place is very beautiful. But the food is so bad. The chef has no idea about how much salt or sugar to put into the dishes. So they are either way too salty or way too sweet. I was still hungry afterwards because the food is inedible. Also we waited for almost an hour for the food to come. It is a business lunch for the university. Personally, I would never go there myself.

Don't bother as worst food and service when empty. Terrible and a complete waste of money ey and time. Embarrassing to bring Aggie grads there too.
Terrible experience!
We went there at 11:50 AM on a busy Monday, sat there for over an hour and ten minutes. They said we’re still working on your food!!!
Left the place, since we had an appointment and couldn’t stay any longer!
Not recommended!!!

We were attending Miss Rev's funeral and the kids were starving so we went across the street. It was awesome. The tuna tacos are amazing. The macaroni kids meal was a huge hit! The wine selection was superb. They had a 3 piece ensemble playing amazing music. The decor was super modern and tasteful. I would love to go back on a date.

Brazos-Texas local kitchen is a true Texas experience. Locatel next to Kyla field, in a hotel, one can breathe Aggie Spirit in a peaceful, sophisticated dining room. Staff very profesional and friendly. The menú offers a basic selection of beef, fish, chicken and vegetarían plates at a Texas sized price. The huge salad was fresh but mundane. The steak was prepared to perfection. For those looking for a special occasion restaurant, this one will impress.
A recipe card would have been nice for the whiskey making class. Also actually making a drink would have been helpful. We sighed up for 4 drinks and they only demonstrated 3. We went to the restaurant and they were slow, brought the wrong food to our table and then took it away and gave it to another table. Just overall felt like it could have been handled better
We visited the restaurant for the Mother's Day Brunch and it was no where near what we have experienced the past 2 years that we have dined there. For the price we paid, it was NOT worth it. The food was cold in the serving stations, had to consistently ask the employees to restock the food so we could have some, stacks of dirty dishes were just being added to on tables that still had customers on them, and we the food selection was very minimal. We will not be going back next year.

Booked a reservation here to eat dinner after graduation and they were extremely accommodating. It wasn’t busy, quiet enough to talk so everyone could enjoy it. The food was good although it did take a really long time and it was hard to get service for drink refills. Other than that it was great.
