This place treats it's employees like garbage. It's one of those "our employees are family" but "you don't have to work here if you don't want to" and "mandatory meetings on your days off" types of management. Are those the kind of people you want to support?

Love the BBQ but we really love turkey and they always run out by the time we pick up dinner, never fails. Customer service could be a lot better. We go around 7:00pm and the employees are either grumpy or don't want to be there. If we don't feel like dealing with the employees negativity we just go to Rudy's.

The best bbq in town! We travel from Florida twice a year to get a bbq fix at C & Js! They trim it lean for us and serve generous portions.

Had a delicious meal at C&J. Wife and I both had the Aggie Special. She had a side of Mac N Cheese while I had the Collard Greens. We probably could have split one platter between us as there was a ton of food on each. This was our first time at C&J but it wont be our last for sure,

WORST BARBEQUE we have ever ate! 1) The RIBS were slim and fatty and DRY AND TASTELESS!...2) The BRISKET was dry and tasteless,,I mean NO TASTE!. 3) The Pinto Beans were very salty and had very little taste like as if there was almost no seasoning!. 4) The Potato Salad was lumpy and hard and once again HAD NOT DISTINCT TASTE!. 5) THE COLESLAW---RUBBERY,HARD TO CHEW AND ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE!!...We mean ZERO!!. 6) OH,NOW THE MANAGER'S SPECIAL!!....7) The CHOPPED BEEF HAD A very weird tangy taste,on further review after THROWING UP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD GOING HOME,,I think it was spoiled!!************TO SUM UP,I REALLY FEEL LIKE THE WHOLE MEAL WAS COOKED DAYS AGO!...I really do...My wife and I took a ROAD TRIP TO COLLEGE STATION to catch the SPIRIT OF SERVICE,,me being a Veteran for Veterans Day coming up. but I was embarrassed for her!...We were starving and ate as much as we could stand then WE BOTH WALKED OUT DISGUSTED!!.....It ruined THE TRIP!.....it RUINED THE HOLIDAY!....I really feel like I have been FRAUDED as I take my SECOND TRIP TO THE BATHROOM since I have been home VOIDING THIS OUT OF MY SYSTEM!....Thanks a lot!. P.S. I am not paying for this!...UPDATE#1 CALLED MGR AND they took no responsibility...So I called the HEALTH DEPT. they seemed to be familiar with this location. They said they would INVESTIGATE IN 24 HOURS AND LET ME KNOW!. I guess I will stay tuned! IT is a SHAME VETERANS ARE TREATED THIS WAY!...UPDATE#2 we ate there Monday folks and today is Friday and we are now starting to feel better now. Watch out folks!
