Capriotti's Sandwich Shop

They had the front door locked because they were too busy working on a catering order. They then did not want to make my carry out order that I already paid for. When they finally made my order and I found out they made my order wrong. I’ve had issues with this location almost every time I’ve ordered here. Location is very poorly managed and very over priced for the quality of food and service you receive. Avoid this location. I won’t be back.

Condiments were non-existent. Variety available was slim. Not to my liking at all. Limited seating. Did not live up to their hype online.

First time eating here. Bill (I think that was his name) was very helpful and attentive. Would definitely be going back.

To start, what was good. My sammy was sooo gooood. Would order again. I got the chipotle chicken crunch, add bacon, grilled onions, and fried hot peppers. That’s what got it 5 stars.

What could improve. I placed my order online so I’d be ready or at least almost ready when I showed up. Said it’d take 15 min and I could pick it up at 1:08pm. I got there a little early, at 1:01pm. How do I know that it was 1:01? When I walked in there was a guy with his back towards the register on his phone. No one else was in the shop. I told him I had an online order. He said, “online order?” And looked over at the ticket machine. Pulled a ticket off it and read it. He goes, “uh yeah you are 7 minutes early, I juuuuust got this.” I said.. “yeah I can see that.” Said it would take him 4 minutes to make it so I sat and waited. No worries, I was in no hurry. I was in there for maybe a minute, it was freeeezing in there and the ac was making a constant banging noise that was unpleasant so I sat outside.

Got my sammy around 1:10pm, no worries. It wasn’t that it wasn’t ready, it was more that he made it seem like it was my fault that I was early even tho it had been sitting on the ticket thing for almost 10 min.

Either way, I’ll be back. The sammy was bussin. Could work on the timing tho. I’d get it if it was poppin, but my order was literally the only one lol.

Anyway, yummy!

The sandwiches are great. I recommend the chicken Chipotle crunch. Service was fast.

This was an awful experience. We went here to try the Bobby turkey sandwich at 7:30 pm on Monday the fifth of may. There was literally turkey arteries in my sandwich. And as walking in the only employee working wasn’t even inside the restaurant and had to come in from a chit chat session with a car in the front.

When i walked in, there was an employee sitting at a table, on his phone. We made eye contact, so i know he saw me. 4 minutes later, he got up to go get the other employee to take care of me. 2 minutes later, the cook/cashier stopped at the grill and offered to take my order, to which I replied i didn't want to yell across the restaurant at him.

I hate coleslaw, but the capastrami looked so good that I had to try it. Surprisingly, the slaw was actually really good. Cold, crisp, and not the usual sweet flavor that I've unfortunately had in the past. The first and last 2 bites of my sandwich were all bread & slaw. I thought the ratio of pastrami to slaw was way off, but then I got to the meat (which was tasty)... that was all in the middle of the sandwich. It wasn't distributed across the length of the sandwich at all. I didn't notice any cheese, which was disappointing. The 4 stars for food is based just on the flavors & textures. The build of the sandwich was just not right.

2 stars for atmosphere because behind the counter to the grill & beyond looks cluttered, unfinished, and not clean. Also... why is this banner/flag backward? Not a good look.

The cook/cashier did apologize for shouting across the restaurant to me. I could see he was just trying to multitask, but I'm hoping that in the future he just takes the 5 xtra steps to the cash register so customers don't have to shout back at him whilst working the grill.

I'll try a few more sandwich shops in town before I decide if I'll be back here or not.

I ordered the capastrami I was really impressed with the flavor. It was delicious. I paired it with jalapeño chips and old vanilla soda. I wish we had a Capriotti's near by.

Absolutely amazing BLT!!

Too bad this place is closed. It has some amazing sandwiches. The Bobby, and the Cappistrami, are sandwiches you must try if you get the opportunity. Absolutely yummy sandwiches

Fantastic sandwiches!

Came here for the first time with my coworkers. Ordered the Classic Italian, Capastrami, and the American Wagyu French Dip. All the sandwiches were delicious. My Capastrami sub was 18inches and it was super fulfilling. There was a bit more breading than I’d like, but otherwise, perfect. Pastrami was so warm and flavorful and the cole slaw on top of it complimented it so well.

Staff were all super friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at. Lots of parking as well.

Thanks for the vegetarian meat. Please add vegan cheese.

Every time I've come here it's always been a rewarding experience because of Billy. The food is good yes, as well as other generics, but it's Billy who makes Capriotti's stand out for me personally. His diligence and care make the experience personable and well-worth it!

The food was so good and very fairly priced. I love their turkey sandwiches, it’s awesome how they actually cook their turkeys, it’s like thanksgiving turkey! The owner was super super nice, and we talked to her for a while. She really cares and puts a lot of effort into the store. I will definitely be back anytime I’m in College Station
