Been looking to try this place for awhile. Tried to simply show up a couple times at lunch, but missed the food each time. Today, I decided to text my order. Got a prompt response and an estimated time. Showed up to get my food and Charlie lived up to the hype. Charlie himself was a pleasure to talk with. He definitely exuded the vibes of someone who loves his craft, and knows he's good at it. It's so nice to visit a place that doesn't feel like a corporation, just a dude doing what he loves and sharing his talent. Paid my tab and he handed me my bag, which I almost dropped because it was so much heavier than I expected. He told me there were enough fries in there to choke a man, I laughed and said it sounded like me. A cute joke I thought... but he wasn't kidding.Got home, sat down, and opened it up. Oh my god. Don't try to be a hero, Charlie isn't messing around with portions! I'm a big guy, and I couldn't finish it. I tried, I truly did. The Bigggg Bacondouble was the best burger I've had in recent memory. It blew the doors off anything I've had since coming to College Station. Just a tick of sweetness, a bit of crunch, and balanced perfectly. The fries were a surprise. At first I thought they were a little bland but after eating a few the flavor builds and you just can't put them down. I wanted to, but I wasn't able to finish the fries either, Charlie wasn't kidding, I would have choked. Seriously, I will be back as soon as I recover. This is now my favorite food in College Station.

Call/Text your order. We got lucky, and got the last 3 burgers he had! Hands down, best burger ever. Forget Five Guys, SmashBurger, and the rest, get yourself to Charliemac's! Got the "Mini cheese burgers, and Big Ed's cream cheese. Don't let the name fool you, they're a normal size burger. Ed's Cream Cheese was great, perfectly crispy bacon too! Buns were fantastic. Call early, check social media to make sure he's open.

My wife and I had been wanting to try this place for a while. She wanted a cheeseburger, so I got her the “cheesegasm” (recommended by the owner), fully expecting her to remove some of the unique toppings or trade for my bacon double cheeseburger that I was sharing with my son. After her first bite, she looked at me and said “this is the best burger I have ever had”. I couldn’t agree more and highly recommend this little hamburger joint! The fact that they routinely sell out and close early speaks volumes to the quality of the food. We will definitely be making this our new weekend lunch spot!

Unexpected great burger joint. Learnt about this place because they use Zeitman's buns and I read about the collaboration somewhere (probably Facebook ). Drove around to find it since gps map sent me to the wrong side of the highway. The trailer is right next to chevron off Barron Rd. Now... to the food. The selection is very limited for a good reason (two people working) but you can tell is well planned and perfectly executed. Got a small cheeseburger with bacon and couldn't finish it because it was too much for me. Husband indulged with a cheesegasm and a side of fries. Juicy patty and crispy bacon, yum! Happy customer. Will come back for sure. Thanks for great quality and service. If you have some extra time take a stroll to nearby Tekton timber and see the gems they sell (by gems I'm referring to planks of wood). Get there early as they sell out before 2. Enjoy!

First off, don't worry about the 3/5 star review because that reviewer didn't even taste the food and didn't have any sort of grace for a single man running a FOOD TRUCK with the BEST burgers in town. I had always heard about Charlie Mac's and been meaning to try it-- took me a while but I made and boy maybe I shouldn't have because darn those burgers are insanely delicious and sure haven't helped me with my baby weight hahaha. But in all seriousness, this is now our hands down go to burger place. The flavors are on point if you just want an awesome juicy burger that'll melt in your mouth. YES you might have to wait for it! YES he might be sold out but for crying out loud it's a food truck- how big do you think the fridge is in that thing?! Anyways, let's all focus on what matter and that's the awesome burgers and actually insanely great service as well. Honestly Charlie who owns the business is almost too apologetic for people waiting on his food but I get it because people aren't nearly as patient as they used to be. I will always wait for food that's worth it and Charlie Mac's burgers are worth it! Not only are the burgers top notch BUT the fries are delicious as well and if you're lucky and he's able to get tots, they are also tasty! You gotta try the many homemade sauces he also makes. And his specialty burgers when he has them! We will continue to go regularly and will also be bringing guests whenever they visit :) oh and for parents, yes there aren't any kid sizes that I'm aware of but the burgers are so big that I literally just cut off some of mine and share. Anyways, keep it up Charlie! You got a winner there!

CBK is S Tier! Order online ahead to skip the line. The Bacon Double Burger is top notch, perfectly seasoned, and enough to feed yourself a meal and a half. Charlie hooked me up with the half-fries, half-tots, off the menu special, which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. No dipping required. Next time it's the turkey burger for me.
