Aspen, the bartender, truly elevates the experience. Her wine recommendations are thoughtful and spot-on—she takes the time to ask what you enjoy, explains options without being overwhelming, and pairs wines perfectly with your meal. You can tell she genuinely understands the menu and cares about making sure each guest finds something they love.

Rusty, the manager, sets the tone for the entire restaurant. He is attentive without hovering and makes a point to check in to ensure everything is exactly as it should be. His commitment to guest satisfaction is clear—he wants every plate, every drink, and every interaction to meet the highest standard.

Between the outstanding service, knowledgeable staff, and attention to detail, De Bacca Steakhouse stands out as a place where guests feel valued and well taken care of. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience done right. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing place for steak lovers. Wait staff is fully in tune with what the chef is serving and the flavor profiles of each dish. De Baca Steakhouse really took good food to another level from steaks, to seafood, their sides, and even their table service. Our server was Trent.

We had dinner at De Baca this past Saturday night. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the restaurant. The staff, the atmosphere, and the meal were outstanding. Our waiter was awesome (Jason) and we had a great time talking with him about the restaurant and the menu. I had the buffalo ribeye and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Could have cut it with a fork. My wife had the sea bass and it too was done brilliantly. Everyone at the table enjoyed the meal and the restaurant. I would definitely recommend. Most excellent.

Wow! What a treasure to have in South College Station. Beautiful atmosphere, outdoor patio seating, quality ingredients with interesting upscale dishes. Something for everyone. And if you are lucky enough to get Tim as your server, you will be well taken care of. Will definitely go back! So glad they lowered their prices. So not just for date night anymore.

Our first visit to De Baca Steakhouse was for lunch Christmas day celebrating Christmas and our 10th anniversary. We enjoyed an exceptional experience! The restaurant is perfect for special occasions with a lovely view. The service was great and the food heavenly. The shrimp cocktail had 5 jumbo shrimp with a delicious spicy cocktail sauce. The onion soup and wedge salad were both excellent. I ordered the beef wellington and my husband the ribeye, both superb! Overall, we had a luxurious and relaxing experience. We look forward to our next celebration at this amazing restaurant!

I'm giving De Baca 4 stars and my wife says three. Here's why: For the price, the service should be spectacular. Our server was very nice, but not that attentive. There where a couple of times where I needed something and he walked right in front of us, gave no eye contact, didn't check if we needed something, and walked right on past. I actually had to flag people down a few different times. Also, they gave us dirty silverware. Like so dirty, food was crusted all over two of our soup spoons. My filet was indeed cooked perfectly, but we did not care for chicken cordon bleu. I cook chicken cordon bleus at the crib all the time and this one was not very appetizing. The sauce just didn't smell appealing and with bone-in you really just don't get much food for the price they charge. I recommend a large chicken breast that is stuffed with ham and swiss with a nice crunchy breading on the outside. Next, the butternut squash soup was great, but not as great as a lobster bisque with chucks of loster tail in it. Also, charging 70 bucks for a beef wellington is too much. Overall, service and cleanliness are key for that kind of price at a high end steakhouse.

Loved this place. Great staff, from the hostess who sat us at a great table with a terrific view of the sunset. Our waiter was very friendly and our food was on par. Chicken Cordon Bleu was moist and flavorful. My husband enjoyed the Chateaubriand, the beef was deliciously seasoned and soft. We paired our plates with delicious cocktails. And to end our night we ordered the Blueberry Bread Pudding, it was slightly too toasted on the outside but after I dug to the middle, it was deliciously decadent. Will most definitely plan a trip back.

This restaurant is amazing! They use the best products in all of their dishes which makes the food experience top notch. And they have the hospitality side dialed in to make every guest feel special. They went above and beyond for our anniversary and they are now our official special occasion restaurant. A fine dining experience how it should be - great food and service in a relaxed atmosphere.
