Great divey college bar with a counter service restaurant in the back. My fiancee and I go here for cheese fries and drink almost every time we visit.

Very cool country spot. Gets pretty busy so might have some wait time. But it was a good time for sure.

4.3 stars. A quintessential part of the Aggie experience whether you’re going to college here or simply visiting. If the walls could talk, there’d be countless stories of good bull as well as some not so good bull. Be sure to stop in, order a drink, sit with new friends and play some dominoes and/or shoot some pool. Soak in the music, people and wonderful vibes that make the Chicken what it is — an iconic part of Aggieland and North Gate.

Looks and feels the same as it did almost 20 years ago. The nostalgia is worth the visit. Always a good time.

Atmosphere was great. Guy who took my order was so nice. The blonde girl in the kitchen was so mean, fire her right now. I’m serious find anyone better than the blonde girl for the kitchen spot. She is so mean to any and all customers. Had multiple people go up to see if she was mean to them too. (she was)

It’s been several years since I’ve been in there. The atmosphere is still fun and nice and friendly. The food we ordered was average at best. The prices seem a little high. Still love the Dixie Chicken, it’s just not like it used to be in some ways.

This is a College Station staple. The vibe is dive bar with a whole lot of Aggie Spirit
Located towards the Northwest end of Northgate, this is the perfect game day or pre-tailgating bar. Sure, it’s a little cramped, chaotic, and noisy… but that’s part of its character and the experience. You can sit inside in one of two main areas or on the patio out front and there’s seating out back
The servers are friendly and professional. The food and drinks are solid. Nothing overly fancy, but it’ll hit the spot. There’s a couple bars to order from, and you can order food towards the back of the bar
Some tips:
Order a pitcher and share with your friends. If you’re in the mood, consider doing a bit of bar hopping as this areas boasts a number of fun bars ranging from Irish pubs, dive bars, sake bars, whiskey bars, etc
Also, if you’re not too scared, venture to the back room and on the southeast wall there is a snake inclosure that has a live rattlesnake. It’s been there for almost a couple decades now
Cheers!

This place is crazy cool. If you go to A&M, you know exactly why you come here - for beer, for activity, for noise, for friendship.
Now review is needed - you come here because you know exactly why you are going to.
A great place, and I hope my son has fond memories of this place and his time at school.

This is the place to be on game day. You most likely won't find a table to sit at as there's so many people here. It is self-service on the bar and on the grill
