Have a special advertised with sign in the line that no one in this location knew anything about. When we tried to order it, they said it was catering only (so why have a sign that says nothing about catering for people to look at while they are on line waiting to order).

Place gave me Food poisoning made me very sick I don’t like writing bad reviews, but considering I am still recovering a week later I think it is good to let people know so they are aware before eating here…. Dine at your own risk?

I'm surprised that there are no options at all for vegetarian protein. Not even chickpeas . Made this $10 burrito less interesting to me.

Burrito's made to order subway style. Walking down the counter telling them what you want on it. They have four sizes. There choices and quality have gone down since the last time I was there. But still good place for a quick meal.

The manager here is extremely rude. She had her employee ask us to pull up for our order, (2 basic bowls), to save time for the people behind us, despite the fact that we had waited upwards of 10 minutes for the car in front of us. I asked what the wait time would be, and he said 5 minutes. I told him I’d wait. He again tried to get us to move, but I refused and said “no, thank you.” He went and got the manager, who immediately began being defensive, and told us that we needed to move because people behind us had probably ordered before us, and they needed to get their orders to them. I asked how she could possibly know that, and she said that she couldn’t without verifying with them, but that they were having to wait. I told her that that’s what a line is, and that we had had to wait. I asked her what if we had to wait even longer, which she responded to by demanding we move forward. I again refused. She asked when our order was placed. My signal was bad in the drive through, so I couldn’t quickly load it. My husband pulled forward, and I found proof that our order was scheduled to be ready for pick up 20 minutes prior to my conversation with the manager. He showed this to the employee, (who did apologize and tried to make it right by tossing in a free queso), but the manager never apologized, or even made eye contact with my husband to acknowledge her mistake. I understand that fast food employees can be under a lot of pressure, and would have happily complied if we had a large, or complicated order, but we literally had two bowls. In the time she spent arguing with us, and trying to demand that we move, she could’ve easily just finished our order. It was extremely frustrating that we had to wait for as long as we did, and then we were essentially shooed out of the way in the spirit of “courtesy” to other patrons, when we’d been denied that courtesy, especially given that we’d driven into town from 30 minutes away to get a quick meal and shop. She was extremely rude, and I do not appreciate her trying to bully us.

At least the food was good, (her employee made it in front of my husband).

I have been eating at Freebirds since the "Save the Bird" days in 1992 and while they have had their ups and downs in quality and service through the years, I have found that the Freebirds Gateway location in College Station is the BEST these days! The people who work there seem to enjoy working there and the quality and quantity of food they serve meets the amazing standards that make me a Freebirds loyalist (I just can't eat at the other place that claims to make burritos). I can't speak about the other locations in town because I've found this one and stick with it because of the great service and food, but compared to Freebirds locations in other cities, they should all be taking lessons from this team at Freebirds Gateway.

Even a few weeks ago, I got home with our food and they had left the meat off one of my orders. I called to tell them and they apologized and asked me to come back so they could correct their mistake. When I pulled up to the drive-thru, the MANAGER was waiting for me and gave me the corrected order AND a card for a free entree. I told her how much I appreciated her quick response to make the order right and she said that is what they aim to do. I'll keep going back to this location!

I don't know why this is, but I swear it: Freebirds burritos made in College Station have always been better than those made in Houston or Austin. We had not been to this location before, but it didn't disappoint. I like the cayenne tortilla; it's not hot, just flavorful. I can and did eat a Monster, but should have gotten the smaller one which is still plenty big. Parking was a bit claustrophobic, so next time I'll just park in the roomy lot nearby.

Crew was not prepared when we walked in. They didn’t have steak. When we asked for it, someone rushed to make it and gave us raw steak. They put two half scoops in the burrito and charged us extra when we asked for regular scoops. Freebirds is not what it used to be.
