Just moved to Texas last week and decided to give them a try, they are the best chicken fingers I have ever had and their potato salad was amazing .. can not wait to order again

Smallest tenders I’ve ever gotten from laynes pretty disappointing. Since they went up in price, it’s just not worth it anymore. Good service nothing against the employees at all they were great. Just the food.

When the food is hot and fresh, Laynes is great; however, when the tenders and fries are not, it's just not the best experience. Last night, I specifically asked the cashier to please make sure our food was hot & fresh. That did not happen because the order came out within minutes of sitting down. The fries and toast were cold and the tenders were chewy...like they were cooked way before we ordered! I expected the food to be hot & fresh since that was specially what I asked for. Regularly, those accommodations were met, but not last night. The majority of the tables were dirty and that shouldn't be with the excessive number of young adults working. We've visited this location a few times and have always noticed younger adults playing around behind the register and in the kitchen.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this location today (2/9 at 2:30 PM). I came inside to order lunch, thinking it would be faster since the drive-thru was backed up with about eight cars. There was only one other person inside, who had already ordered and was just waiting for their food (who also seemed frustrated about her wait).
After 20 minutes of waiting and watching drive-thru orders fly out, I finally asked about my order. Instead of providing a helpful answer, the employees treated me like I was in the wrong for even asking. One employee literally said, "They don’t prioritize customers inside; they prioritize the drive-thru."
To make matters worse, they blamed their manager for the delays, said they had run out of food, and acted like I was unreasonable for expecting my order in a reasonable time. When my food was finally ready, an employee with dark curly hair slammed it on the counter and walked away—zero apology, zero professionalism.
Luckily, I was able to warn three other customers who had just walked in. They took one look at my situation and wisely decided to either leave or go through the drive-thru.
This place is completely unorganized, lacks basic customer service, and clearly doesn’t care about inside customers. I won’t be back.

My last trip to Layne’s.
New ownership has increased prices significantly. It is a shame because they were a very good locally owned company we enjoyed supporting. No more …..

I NEVER give a 5 star rating. But today is a good exception! Thor provided great customer service. 👍🏾 The food was fresh, hot and delicious. 😋 I went through the drive thru so that’s why atmosphere was a 4. Thanks for a great experience!

The fingers are about half the size of competitors. Tasty enough, just no longer a good value at the pricing levels.

Layne’s: The Underrated Finger King
Layne’s chicken fingers are the best-kept secret in fast food. While everyone lines up at Raising Cane’s like it’s the second coming of fried chicken, Layne’s quietly serves up better tenders with none of the hype.
The chicken is perfectly crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right. The toast? Golden and buttery without trying too hard. And let’s not forget the sauce, bold, tangy, and addictive in a way Cane’s can only dream of.
Layne’s deserves more love. It’s like that indie band that’s way better than the chart-toppers but somehow still flies under the radar. If you know, you know. And if you don’t, you’re missing out.

Great food!
Horrible hygiene. Tables were dirty and no soap in ladies bathroom. I had to flush the toilet twice after the person who went before me just so I could use the 1 stall restroom.

My family fell in love with Layne's while our kids were students at TAMU. We had never visited this location, but it was not far from the freeway as we were traveling through the area. HINT -- it's on the left side of a 7-Eleven store/gas station. Small dining room, drive-thru, & inside counter service. I discovered their wraps and enjoyed the unique flavor with Ranch dip. Great lunch break!
Parking: There is limited parking on the Layne's side of the building. When we arrived the parking spaces were all occupied by yard crew trucks/trailers. We parked on the far side of the building.
